The Goose on the Market, Croydon

nice enough pub if not a little bit rough looking

The Porter and Sorter, Croydon

i understand this place is being shut down to make space for a new trendier pub for the new highest residential block the UK has ever seen. BIG shame!

The Moon on the Hill, Sutton

very good pub - still not sure why they don't offer a choice of eggs with their breakfast???

Whispering Moon, Wallington

I went in here recently and much to my surpise they were actually quite prompt with their service. Very nice people behind the bar other than the sour faced woman who works on a Saturday - I may faint if she smiled one day!

The Woodman, Carshalton

I see the curse of the owner Vicki has struck again

The Rose and Crown, Wallington Corner

Great valued food and drink, especially for the area.
Management and staff are friendly.
Definitely worth a visit!

The Lord Palmerston, Carshalton

Went in for the first time recently. Never been in before but go past it a lot. To my surprise, a very nice place with great choice of beer and staff are great too.
I like to see places that still have a 'public bar'.

Great Manager - Matt
Not too sure about owner Vicki - she is nice one minute and moody the next.
Pub is a great place to go to if you can find a seat. Food is great. Staff are great. Well worth a visit.

The Coach and Horses, Carshalton

Greatest pub in Carshalton without a doubt!

The Bedford Tavern, Croydon

My friend introduced me to this pub back in December. It is quite small but has a great atmosphere. Was in there on Friday and YES karaoke was on but it was a great laugh and a good end to a good night.

Not eaten in there so cannot comment on the food. Met the Manager a few times now and have never seen him drunk. Maybe the previous poster should try going in at a different time.

The Greyhound, Carshalton

I'm not too sure what the previous comment is about. It seems like someone does not like live sport "noise" and young people "noisy", quite possibly written by an older "quiet" person.

The Greyhound has changed quite a lot in recent years and one of the greatest things that has happened is the appearance of a new Manager - Neil. A lot better than the previous Manager, a very welcome change! Yes, it has opened it's doors from the restaurant to the swan bar and I agree it is not the one of the greatest ideas this pub has had.

Not been in for a month or so, so not able to comment on the staff, or lack of, should I say. Like any other pub you can wait to be served for what seems an eternity but in general there is nothing wrong with the Greyhound. Food and Drink excellent and staff very pleasant and nice to talk to.

Definitely worth a visit if you haven't been yet!
