The Royal Children, Nottingham

Went in here last Friday and am now going to have to sell a kidney to pay the mortgage. How the hell can they justify 2.60 for a pint of warm Deuchars ?
It's outrageous and has certainly put me off visiting here again.
Next time I'm in the area I'll go to the Trip.

Langtry's, Nottingham

Am pleasantly impressed.
Been in now at lunchtimes for a couple and the atmosphere is entirely different.
Great barmaid in Katrina and very pleasant on the eye too !
If only it could be the same at the weekends !

Foremans Bar, Nottingham

Oh dear....stuck in the seventies.
A bit like the Blue Oyster Bar in Police Academy but worse.

Can't agree with the previous comments more.
Drink in this place on a regular basis and the worst time of the year to go is now.
Why can't these amateurs stay at home sipping their cocoa instead of getting in the way and turning proper pubs into some kind of dodgy social club for incontinent know it alls ?
Maybe there is an argument for euthanasia after all ! !

The Longbow, Arnold

Bad, truly bad. Used to be a good spot to take the kids for lunch and then a runaround on the climbing frame or in bad weather the ball pit.
Now looks like a bomb has hit the place.
Uncared for, unpleasant and unfit for the public to visit.

What a madhouse.
The locals provide you with a massive amount of fun and entertainment. Went in here for a quick pint and left three hours later with stomach cramp from laughing so much.
Don't go if you're offended by crude talk and language....if you're not, go along for a memorable pint !

The Newcastle Arms, Nottingham

Agree about the barmaids.....v nice !
Beer ok, but the place shouldn't have been done up, it's lost all it's charm and turned into a soulless chain type boozer.

Female talent ! ! ! ! I've seen better at the morgue.
The amount of overfed, illiterate mingers that inhabit this dive is unbelievable. OK, if you don't mind burning your arse on the lightbulb because the bird under you is built like Orca then enjoy, personally I'd rather spend the day going to a decent boozer with quality ale than being surrounded by the local Shazzas, Bazzas and Gazzas.

The biz.....great beer, great atmosphere and what's more a proper boozer.
If you haven't been, go ! ! !

The Coach and Horses Inn, Chepstow

Great beer and a truly unique atmosphere. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will definitely go back again.
It's like a little Africa ! ! !

The Arrow, Arnold

Used to be a good drinking house until they bulldozed the place and turned it into a second rate food bar. The good barstaff are constantly stuck in the kitchen or taking food to tables, the bad barstaff generally aren't visible and after waiting for ages to get a pint the service is appalling. Have been asking for a mixed from the same barmaid for months now and every time I ask I get the same questions, "Is that with lager, cider or mild.....is that with bitter as well?"
Avoid this place at all costs ! ! !

Cracking boozer ! ! Always guaranteed a warm welcome and a great selection of quality ales. Brilliant in-house entertainment from some of the most colourful characters you could find. Exactly as a boozer used to be and should be ! !
