The Gardeners Arms, Cheddar

In general agreement with others, probably Cheddar's best pub, food and beer offerings a bit different from the run of the mill, and not too overrun with tourists as it's tucked away round the back.

The White Hart, Cheddar

Crowd of boisterous young men smoking outside front door a bit offputting. Decor inside is what you'd expect from a cottage pub but beer selection not very exciting. Bar food available and a garden to one side. Generally disappointing.

The Galleries Inn, Cheddar

Looks appealing from the outside but inside nothing special. Small cottage with convservatory and patio out the front. Lunchtime food selection OK but not much in the way of decent beer. Frequented by younger crowd.

Riverside Inn and Restaurant, Cheddar

Reasonable family pub, good selection of beers, garden with kids play area, good food selection in restaurant area, reasonably priced but service a bit slow. Sports bar to one side.
