The Crosse Keys, Bank

Champions league final.....Biggest screen in the world....sound on....absolutely rammed....amazing atmosphere...great pub! Not so sure I'd be equally impressed if the champs league final wasn't on however!

The Railway Tavern, Chelmsford

Well, what can I say...The Railway! Only been there a couple of times and on each occasion I've been half cut. On the first occasion I remember taking the p*ss out of the landlord for looking a bit like Jim Royle, personally I thought it was a compliment but sadly he didn't share my enthusiasm. Anyway, the next time I proceeded along the same lines and again he was none too impressed. BUT, regardless of me being a general pr*ck, the place isn't that bad and is definately a must before any visit to the Cave! Sexy times!

The Cheshire Cheese, Tower Hill

Good little pub, although it is stuck under Fenchurch Street which means inside it's as dark as a Stanley Kubrick film. One quarm I do have with it is that the toilets are utterly filthy, and you get a lovely little whiff of them everytime someone opens the door....lovely jubbly. Apart from that the place is pretty good and I personally prefer it to the P+P next door.

Wagon & Horses, Hadleigh

When I was at sixth form 2000-2002 we would grace this pub between lessons, burger and a beer for 3 quid or something. Great place in the evenings too. Not sure why they closed it, developers moved in and obviously saw the big money in an old peoples development. Shame really, but the memory will live on....

The Cardinal, Victoria

It's the God Damn best dingiest, darkest Sh*thole I've ever had pleasure to drink in. Currently working in Victoria and to mix with the best scum of the earth heralding from the area can only be described as perplexing! Still, great old school drinking mans pub! superb!

The Cavern, Liverpool

Went to this place when I was up in Liverpool during some North West Tour we went on a couple of years ago. Serve pints in plastic glasses which invariable spill everywhere and also it wasn't the most welcoming pub/club I've ever been too. Good to see all the Beatles memorabilia and if you have a bit of time, on the stairs down there are loads of messages written on the walls from over the years.

The Goat Tavern, Piccadilly

Before the smoking ban came into force this was quite possibly the smokiest pub I have ever been in! Apart from that, good little pub. During the summer you can stand outside and if you don't fancy staying then just pop across the road to the Kings Head next door. All in all good pub for an after work pint (or ten)!

The Clarence, Mayfair

Used to work down Berkeley Street and I guess you could say this was our local. Spent more time in The Clarence than I did in work during some weeks! Fridays lunch/nights are generally the busiest and all in all a fairly decent, if not small, pub.

The Bread and Cheese, Benfleet

This pub isn't too far away from me, just a short 10 minute walk. Has three pool tables, sky TV and a restuarant area towards the back. However, I do find that whenever I go in there it is incredibly quiet! Bar staff etc have all been friendly when I have been in there and all in all it's a good pub to visit in a weekday evening.

The Half Crown, Benfleet

Play for the Carling Crusaders and I guess you can say this is our local. After every game they put on a FREE spread for us which is a nice touch. Also great to watch footy in and generally have some banter...

100% recommended!

The Cutley Lynch, Benfleet

This pub is just round the corner from me...bit of a locals gaffe but I used to go down there quite regularly before I moved to London. Cheap beer, Sky TV and a pool table, can't really ask for much more really....
