The Cellar Bar, Oxford

Well, it's more of a late night venue nowadays than a pub (The Dolly) which it used to be. Its got a range of nights from live music to electro house, latin to drum and bass. I find on my visits, different nights attract completely different crowds. Not the sort of place that establishes regulars, but might occasionally cater for what you want. The prices are definitely high, but the entertaining bar staff make up for it. A must try.

The Red Lion, Oxford

no one can actually like this pub, but its a part of most young people's lives in oxford. above its extreme crapness, it has been the start of many a stupid night out, and a good place to tell your latest drunken stories to your mates.

The Dew Drop Inn, Oxford

Pretty much the longest serving landlord in oxford, loads of friendly regulars, great sports coverage, good food, fantastically kept real ales (4-6 at a time), great front and back gardens in the summer (one to hide and one to be seen). This pub has been a big part of my life for about 5 years! (i'm only 24!)
