The Dolphin, Hackney

basic as they come in terms of service and product - staff are not the freindliest unless you local and a bit rough n ready, Punters a strange mix but ok

i stumbled out very late and doubt id go back in sober !

The Cat and Mutton, Hackney

great locality with good offering for the beer. Yes some of the punters are complete tools but i guess thats what you have to expect in this part of town

staff seemed fine to me , served quick , tables cleared etc. NOt my choice but still freindly enough for a few

The Antelope, Tooting

tooting warrior , your not very sharp are you ? the point is as per other posts i made that it would seem that the postings are a tad suspect , staff perhaps ? can u see a trend ? clearly not !

if you read my last post you would have taken on board the fact that i compliment this pub - good food, worth going to , no more rough types etc. these forums are to express your thoughts as you have..Stupid thick tw*t

The Antelope, Tooting

Aagh, i do like the excitable 1st time posters for the antelope like tooting warrior and ETOH.

Yep food is good but Guy Dimond the reviewer is local i m told, so wetting himself about a gastro pub on doorstep ?. the timeout link on its own is a bit odd & apparently by the manager

all good tho and worth a pop in. No more rough types , just Village types..

Revolution, Clapham

Smart joint , i did not get any hassle from the boys on the door but perhaps thats cos i'm a bit older, and they really are juniors !

overpriced chain in essence but pleasing enough for a swift few

Aquum, Clapham

11 Aug 2009 20:40

The Landor, Clapham

The Clapham North, Clapham North

chopper1 is spot on

great location but run by fools

11 Aug 2009 20:37

The Ramble Inn, Tooting

wonderful oasis of a boozer, charming staff and pinters alike

no pretentions here, just damn fine guiness and a good craic as they say

11 Aug 2009 20:30

The Antelope, Tooting

nice place but it is blatently obvious that anitas, zomb and abbieM all have interest in the business , tho clearly they are not the puppet masters

its shameful when staff / employees post on theses forums rather than genuine posters, doesnt really add any value raving on about a place thats been open 5 minutes does it ?

it will work well after the thrown at TTS as an alternative for a like minded set.

yep tooting is finally changing tho personally i think its a toilet !!

11 Aug 2009 20:28

The Far Side, Brixton

rubbish of the highest order - do not believe "excellent drinker" !

currently for sale at way over less than half what it was paid for. Crikey

The Uplands Bar and Brasserie, East Dulwich

felixfelix

i think you are slightly out of your depth as i am writing once again - one of the crappy regulars are we ??

touched a raw nerve did i ?! when you can write something of vague interest , write it

27 Jul 2009 21:07

The Selkirk, Tooting

i popped into the kirk recently to assess what all the fuss was about - it is a clean freindl boozer but sadly that really is where it stopped

had sausage and mash and wasnt overley impressed but i am a fussy diner !

will try again an report back on my rounds !

17 Mar 2009 11:46

Bibendum, Eastbourne

i pop in here when visiting relations in eastbourne

it is one of the very few pubs that isn't full of scum !

the end

17 Mar 2009 11:40

The Sun, Clapham

use to go here as a kid and it still hasnt changed in 20 years ! i appreciate the saying if it aint broke etc but this is taking the piss !

the landlords should be ashamed !!

17 Mar 2009 11:38

So.uk, Clapham

i pooped in here before teh youngetsers turned up - claphams a bit out of my normal locailty but i didnt luckily have to put up with any younguns getting over excited after a few shanies !

trendy it is , but thats nice once in a while

17 Mar 2009 11:36

The Alexandra, Clapham

depending on your expectations this is a proper boozer - if the staff dont want volume on amonday for footy then go else where !!

i always like this place - the beers great and it just gets on with what it needs to

its not a 'bah' so if thats ur bah try one of the many poncy bahs in the loacilty

17 Mar 2009 11:34

B@1, Clapham

i treid this last night on way into london and it has become a B@1 chain bar which is a shame

it was ok but just bland, try the alex a few doors up !

17 Mar 2009 11:31

The Pump House, Brighton

this is a warm friendly pub doing what pubs are supposed to do best - well kept ales , simple tasty food and laid back staff

well worth a visit !

17 Mar 2009 11:29

The Manor Bar & Grill, Tooting

no bumwhackit, i think you must be or are one of the owners mates trying to boost a pub profile which doesnt have one. strange how you have only reviewed one pub and yet come back to check on it 3 days later .....Pathetic

went back in again on sunday and it felt like a morgue. Need i say more

16 Mar 2009 15:19

The Long Room Bar and Hotel, Tooting

great i'll get down there then !!

9 Mar 2009 16:47

JJ Moons, Tooting

scary !

9 Mar 2009 16:45

The Trafalgar Arms, Tooting

this place is as crap as people say it is.

9 Mar 2009 16:45

The Manor Bar & Grill, Tooting

anitas - i just prefer real reviewers not faux ones by pub owners friends. No problem with tooting - if you had read my tram review !

tried this place again and it was deathly quite and dull

7 Mar 2009 11:38

The Uplands Bar and Brasserie, East Dulwich

jilly50 you really should stay in sidcup...

this pub is rubbish and full of knarly chav types in the whole. A bit mean but its the reality . I may sound a bit of a snob, but hey -maybe I am !!!

i think barton inns the freeholders should be ashamed and sell it on .

They could move all the punters to the castle as i am sure they'd all feel at home !

27 Feb 2009 19:20

The Manor Bar & Grill, Tooting

yawn.....etiquettereviewpub is clearly a mate of the owner. Boho my arse ! Tooting aint never ever gonna be camden or maida vale. Maybe in 10 years time..

still ,its free advertising for this place on here i guess !

13 Feb 2009 12:37

The Manor Bar & Grill, Tooting

when i last visited this place in the summer it had charm, laid back staff, flowers aplenty and some wall art

on my recent visit however whilst chatting to one of the 'owners' who had the charm of a lampshade, the venue now appears to have personality defect, has become a doomed site and the food is really very naff. What a shame. The sky TV doesnt add any value either especially with the clientele it attracts

6 Jan 2009 19:27

The Brixton Bar and Grill, Brixton

i like the BBAG , its got some class to it unlike some of the venues now in the area

music is always great if you like the doof doof type of thing , staff attentive and some quite fit too !!

6 Jan 2009 19:21

The Cricketers, Brighton

always pop in when in town.. but that points made below are spot on - avoid sat afternoons and dont bother with nosh. Beer is great tho and its one of a few real central pubs left

6 Jan 2009 19:20

The Florence, Herne Hill

great boozer , a tad pricey tho. Food is worth the wait too. Staff a little poncy but then so is the whole area now !

6 Jan 2009 19:18

The Tooting Tram & Social, Tooting

monkey boy supreme , should you not have been at your local that you love ? where 'The staff are cool and fun and beer is good.'

yes this cavernous beast of a venue is bloomin awesome. It should be with the money thats been thrown at it PR wise and fit out cannot be faulted.

its great that tooting now has a reason not to leave !
