went last night...excellent food and service....the toilets have hot water and are clean, these new people seem to want to make a bloody good go at making it work!

now the old landlord has gone bust, it is up for rent!!
could be a good place for some of its "critics" to have a go then???
bogs have been cleaned, still in same style though

still the best place in reading, and Im polite (mostly) great staff, great regulars and sorely missed abroad!!! ah well

great place, have live music on most days, great beer..as for the toilets...I have never laughed so much while trying to wee!!!!! some great jokes and anecdotes!!!!

still the best place in Reading. 2nd only to the retreat.
trouble is if you go in for one, then get chatting to the staff or locals, next thing you know....its well past going home time and you can hardly stand!

went in here after quite some time,and found a better selection of beers. didn't eat though as was only passing.
seems to have a new landlord (new to me anyway)

best place in reading, BUT what will happen when rob goes?? who knows, the regulars are a great bunch, so with any luck it should stay the same!
beer is top notch and changed so regularly it is amazing.
staff extremely good, (even if they tell you how not to have lemonade) and cannot fault it for NOT having trouble.
10 out of 10..even with a slightly broken toilet (which is the brewerys fault anyway)
