We spent a long weekend in Penzance and called in here a couple of times. Staff and locals very friendly and chatty. Didn't eat here but the food looked most apertising, we will definately try it on our next visit, don't be detered by the small bar area, there are lots of interesting dining areas within this pub.
A very good choice of beer and cider for such a small bar.

We visited Penzance for the first time last weekend (Fri-Mon) and ate in this pub 2 nights running. We were very pleased with the welcome received from the staff, they were most accomodating when we asked to mix some seafood dishes, so that we could sample a variety, this would tell us that the food does not come from the microwave and we can assure anyone that it has no resembalance to a 'Watherspoons' (THANK GOD).
A good selection of local beers & ciders could be consumed.
We stayed in a B&B and not all holiday makers feel the need to return to B&B to watch TV as per 'Steveexpopes' comment, if this person is a local, these sorts of comments will not encourage the tourist trade..........

On a long weekend break to Penzance, we called in for a spot of lunch and had an excellent ham, egg & chips, very generous portions, this set us up for the whole day. Very nice village pub in a quiet location, very welcoming. We called back there on our way home at 3pm, but were disapointed to find they did not serve food after 2pm.

The Rose Revived Inn, Newbridge
Visited this pub/restaurant a couple of times. The first occasion, my lamb was cold in the middle only defosted not acctually cooked??!! This was replaced with a well microwaved one, but my partner had already finished his meal, so the atmospher was lost.
The second time we waited over an hour for our starter and it was only because we approached the waitress about our order (after noting other diners being served before us)that we were served our food I think we would still be waiting now.....Although the food was much better this time and we did receive our starter free of charge when we complained on paying the bill. Not sure whether to give it another try third time lucky?????

The Three Pigeons Inn, Banbury
It's now OPEN again. Seem like a nice couple running it, very friendly and accommodating.
