Great soho boozer for all types. Popular in summer, with people spilling out onto the pavement.
No pretense and reasonably priced drinks.

I used to enjoy going to Akbar for a quiet couple of drinks, even then the prices were expensive.
I went in last night and they charged me (wait for it ...)

for a half pint of Kingfisher ...
Nice atmosphere in winter but these prices are extortionate.

The Crown Tavern, Clerkenwell
Great place to meet for lunch time drinks in summer as it has use of the giant forecourt area in front of it.
A good range of imported beers on tap but service can be a bit slow as everyone hits it for the lunch time rush.
