How is this in the Good Beer Guide ?
One beer on which wasn't very good - will not be coming back if when I am in Manchester again.

great pub with friendly locals and staff.
Large range of real ales of both light and dark - which one of the customers asked me what I preferred before i made my selection !
A must on any Manchester real ale trail.

very good Weatherspoons - just shows what can be done by this chain with the correct management.

This was the second pub in our Derby pub crawl and the reviews on here , I believed this would be a good pub.
How wrong we were , two of the three pints we ordered were off and tasted of vinegar but the young barman refused to change them saying they were ok !
We are all long standing real ale drinkers and know a bad pint when we taste one.
We just left the pints and left the pub and will not recommend this pub to any other beer tourists - a very unpleasant experience indeed.

The Plasterers Arms, Norwich
This has recently changed ownership and become a real ale drinkers heaven !
15 real ale were on and these were all displayed on a huge blackboard which is a great help !
Barmaid Alex was one of the most enthusiastic members of staff i have met in a long time. Her knowledge of real ale was also very good. And the pub also allowed tasters which is a nice touch when the choice is so vast.
Tried the Salopian Lemon Dream and one from Spectrum who's name escapes me.Both were served in tip top condition.
Norwich already has a huge amount of choice for real ale but I would put this up with the Fat Cat as one of the best and would recommend anyone who is having a real ale crawl to add this to the list.
