The White Hart, Holybourne

had to many new owners in recent years, when Alan ran it back in 2001-2002 it was one of the best pubs in the area always fun and packed to ther rafters with people which made it a great pub to be in. Since then never really regained its popularity and only really survives because of the Theatre and Treloars regular custom

The Hop Poles, Alton

not a big fan of the poles but it does look a bit better since the refit, when Jackie and Phil were there it was always a fun atmosphere and spent most of my college life playing pool in there during the day

The Wheatsheaf, Alton

full of garden furniture after the takeover, looks a bit tacky and the beer is TERRIBLE but on the whole a good atmosphere shame they took away the outside seating

The Eight Bells, Alton

Good pub and the land lord is a decent bloke, serves very good ale if thats what you like staff are very friendly and a good starting point for a night out especially if you fancy a quiet one on a Friday or Saturday

The Wey Bridge, Alton

I think that the Wey Bridge is a very good pub on the most part as it is good for food if you want something other then chips and like the Wetherspoons kind of pubs during the week. I agree that when they have DJ's it can be difficult to have a conversation in there but this is on rare occasions. The quiz nights are a lot of fun every thursday and the staff are friendly and approachable.

In response to what was said about there being trouble in the pub, please find me a pub in Alton which hasn't had any problems??
