I go here in the afternoons when I can, certainly is real ale and real nice. Love it. Top notch staff as well.

The Victoria Park, London

I went here the other week and it was ok, a bit of a rough crowd but they cleared out once the clubs opened I think. The beer wasn't anything special but I go here again if I was in the area I think.

The Southwark Tavern, London Bridge

I've enjoyed this place more under new management, they might be a little slow but none of the irritating "how was your day" false stuff when I was there, just simple and polite, but I did the pub quiz the other week and some tosser won who I actually saw cheating using an iphone! I've noticed this in a few pubs I frequent and it's really starting to annoy me.

The Boogaloo, Highgate

I agree with earlhicks, it's a really great pub and the atmosphere might have changed but you get some cool people in there still! AND the smoking factor is always welcome, but the whole cheating thing really annoys me. It takes the fun out of it, I thought quizzes were about general knowledge not about how quick you can type on an iphone! It's pathetic.
