The 'lax' of the three? Jumpin Jax is far better than Lava & Ignite (Visage & Ethos, at least it plays varied music, rather than same old RnB crap. Plus I have never seen a fight in there, but the one time my boyfriend went to Visage he was bottled by some nutjob for absolutely no reason.

Hmm, I went to this pub for the first time last week (Saturday night) and found it ok. The music is varied, and as I went with friends I didn't really notice the other 'types' of people around me. It did take AGES to be served though - a good 20 minutes!

I've only ever been here on a Saturday night....and its REALLY packed! I pushed my way through the crowd to the bar, waved my tenner in the air, and got served straight away :) Nicely situated next to Destiny, plays great dance anthems and house classics. My only complaint is that it was unbareably hot.

It takes soooooo long to get served in here. Drinks are really cheap though, so good as a start to a crawl. Like all Wetherspoons pubs, there's no music, which is a bit of a downer.

Gets extrememly overcrowded and hot, but otherwise a great place as a warm up to a club :)

This place has a really unwelcoming atmosphere...it feels like something bad is waiting to happen when you're in there! Its really dingy and dark, it took me half an hour to find the girls loo's..and when I eventually found them, there were only 3 cubicles and an hour long queue! I agree its full of chavs and complete slags...of which one tried to come on to my boyfriend while I was in those bloody toilets for so long!!

I agree with 'lordgreenhill', this place is great for a Friday night drink or ten....in fact its great anytime of the week. To those who say its full of 'posh' people, if you were in such excellent company yourselves then you wouldn't even notice those around you. Personally, I love this place, the drinks are cheap (and the cocktail pitchers taste great!), the atmosphere is friendly & lively at weekends, and the staff are brilliant. Ten out of ten.

I have completely changed my mind about this place. DO NOT GO TO THIS PUB. Me & some friends were told to leave and NOT COME BACK - and the reason? becuase we tied a knot in the rope holding up the parasol TO STOP THE CHEAP CRAPPY THING FALLING DOWN AND KNOCKING US ALL OUT! The 'govenor' gave us a huge mouthful of DRUNKEN abuse (I saw all thos stellas's mate) when none of us had done anything wrong. We were all sober, only had 1 drink each. Just don't go there - the manager is a phsycopath.

I love this place, perfect on a hot friday evening, sitting in the garden with a nice cold beer! Nice friendly atmosphere.

Jumpin' Jaks is more of a bar than a pub, but the atmosphere is always great on a Saturday. I wouldn't bother during the week apart from Thursdays, when they usually have a live act on stage.
Overall a good, lively bar that plays all sorts of music from modern chart to 80's rock.

I was in this bar on Saturday night, and I didn't see any 'goths', although I'd much rather see goths than chavs. Great atmosphere, and I got served really quickly.

I think this place is really cool! Although it does take bloody decades to get served. Great music and happy atmosphere.
