The Wheatsheaf, Vauxhall

CLOSED

30 Jan 2014 15:10

The Falcon, Clapham Junction

Probably the best selection of beers for a Nicholsons pub in London, at least 10 beers on & some unusual ones at that

30 Jan 2014 12:52

The Eagle Ale House, Clapham

Nice pub with a good selection of beers, shame it's a bit cliquey

30 Jan 2014 12:49

The Gunmakers, Clerkenwell

Please note this pub is only open Monday _ Friday !!!
(why is this not on the info ??)
which is a real shame as it's one of the nicesr pubs iv'e been in in a long time

30 Jan 2014 12:46

The Lamb Brewery, Chiswick

This pub no longer has it's own brewery which was the only reason to visit

30 Jan 2014 12:22

The Speaker, Westminster

!!!!IT'S CLOSED ON SATURDAYS !!!!

12 Apr 2009 13:04

The Antelope, Belgravia

I wish this site would publish the opening hours of pubs as this pub is CLOSED ON SUNDAYS

12 Apr 2009 12:41

The Beehive, Brentford

This pub is a hole! full of chavs, which is a shame as it could be a decent pub if fullers invested some money in it & banned most of the locals

22 Feb 2009 14:17

The Bricklayers Arms, Putney

I have now given up on this pub due to it's pricing policy if you think their bar prices are a rip off just visit one of their beer festivals !!

22 Feb 2009 14:03

The Doric Arch, Euston

Went here on a Saturday night & while it wasn't heaving there were a few punters in, They now have at least four guest beers on as well as the Fullers range, on my visit = Dark Star Hophead, Timothy Tailor Landlord, York Midnight something or other & Hop Back Summer Lightening, Oh & if you come here on a suunday they put whichever live game you want to see on individual TV's so i was watching the Tyne wear derby while some bloke was watching Celtic

22 Feb 2009 12:58

The Longford, Hampton Hill

Does this pub serve beer though???

2 Jan 2009 13:01

The Royal Court Tavern, Sloane Square

This pub does not exist as The Royal Court anymore & hasn't for over a year !! now a very pretentious bar rather than a pub

26 Oct 2008 11:53

The Prince Albert, Battersea

Yes all very interesting...but what beer do they do???

19 Sep 2008 15:37

The Brunswick Inn, Derby

I love this pub & make it my first stop when in Derby, has a great selection of beers, some brewed by the pub, wish they had a better selection of food otherwise i could have stayed all day, that said their filled rolls are excellent especially the Stilton & red onion.

31 Aug 2008 12:22

The Alexandra Hotel, Derby

This is a good pub with a good seletion of real ales, it's a shame when i went it was completely dead, with only one other customer...USE it or LOSE it.

31 Aug 2008 12:19

The Smithfield, Derby

This pub has an excellent selection of real ales & a nice outdoor seating area overlooking the river, the pub could do with a lick of paint though & maybe a screen out the back to block out the view of the industrial estate.

31 Aug 2008 12:16

The Minster Inn, York

This is a very friendly pub made to feel welcome even though on my own

31 Aug 2008 12:13

The Maltings, York

Very handy for the station & a very good range of real ales, had a pint in here recently & was not sure if it was on the way out or whether it just had an unusual taste, the bar staff saw me obviously not 100% happy & without me saying anything offered to change my pint, which i did & the next one was excellent

31 Aug 2008 12:06

Thatched House, Hammersmith

How can you possibly say it's a riverside location?? it's on a main road nowhere near the Thames !!!

8 Jul 2008 12:46

The Cock, Oxford Circus

This is a great basic sam smiths pub with OBB on handpump in excellent condition, & it's cheap

21 Mar 2008 12:10

The King and Queen, Fitzrovia

I have to agree with the comments below while this pub has a good choice of beers & a jukebox you can't get passed the fact...it smells !!

21 Mar 2008 12:08

The Bricklayers Arms, Fitzrovia

This pub has no handpumps ! so while it is still relatively cheap if you are a lager drinker it is very dissapointing if you are not.

21 Mar 2008 12:06

The Pembury Tavern, Hackney

Went to the recent beer festival & it was excellent with a superb choice of beers & a good atmosphere. shame it's so far from me otherwise could easily be my local !

21 Mar 2008 12:02

The Bricklayers Arms, Putney

I have been to this pub on three seperate occasions in the past month & each time the Landlord was unavailable, as much as i like this pub the main reason i go is for the beer & the best bitter wasn't on either last time, lets hope it's a glitch

6 Jun 2007 18:00

The Bricklayers Arms, Putney

Timothy Taylors whole range in London !! That should be enough on it's own, but the staff are friendly & the pub is cozy. the only improvements i would make are extending the opening hours, & installing a jukebox with classic albums on, otherwise excellent.

31 May 2007 19:57

The Harp, Covent Garden

Excellent pub gets busy, but the staff still find time to smile, has around four or five real ales on draught, & usually a more unusual one. it also has real cider kept in a polypin, (small barrel) in the fridge.

31 May 2007 19:54

The Windsor Castle, Kensington

Excuse me... but this is Beer in the evening !! it seems to have turned into some bloody restaurant guide...IT'S A PUB !!! and as such it has three real ales on but usually only two but if the Timothy Taylor Landlord is on it's excellent, the only downside are the chinless wonders and Hooray Henrys that get drunk on a bottle of Magners, and talk about scharfing ????

31 May 2007 19:49

The Churchill Arms, Kensington

This pub is always very busy & maybe that's why i find the staff abrupt, if you know you're packed out most nights why bother? so have given up on this pub, even though it's a Fuller's pub & the beer is good.

31 May 2007 19:43

The Brewery Tap, Brentford

I love this pub even if the lanlord is a Gooner, ne's a nice bloke actually, it is a proper pub with decent Fullers beer with a bloke on the piano, there is a small side bar with a pool table & an even smaller bar at the back, but it's friendly & i liked it so much last time i missed my last bus so the Lanlord called me a cab, which was nice as iv'e been called a lot worse !!

31 May 2007 19:38

The Duke of Sussex, Waterloo

Had an excellent Saturday night here a few weeks back, they now have a guest beer Elgoods Cambridge when i was there, they had a Kareoke evening which was very good as there was a good mix of young & old getting up to sing with no chavs in sight.

31 May 2007 19:30

The Magpie and Crown, Brentford

Had an excellent afternoon's drinking here & got chatting to the lovely Morgana the barmaid & who should walk in & sit next to me at the bar & have a few drinks....a bloke called Merlin !! Honestly, you couldn't make it up, The pub is a bit basic though but the beer far from makes up for it with at least four real ales on draft most from local breweries, if only the Landlord wasn't so misarable, still might have cheered up now Harlepool(monkey hangers) have got promoted, see if you can spot H'angus behind the bar.

31 May 2007 18:59

The Marquis Of Westminster, Victoria

This used to be a right .... hole, unrecognisable !!
Decent beer ( Landlord ) and pleasant staff & customers, yes it's expensive but if you do a crawl starting at the wetherspoons at Victoria taking in this pub the Jugged Hare & The Morpeth you can pop in here for one on the way

31 May 2007 18:53

The Jugged Hare, Pimlico

Coverted Fullers pub from a Bank, not had a bad pint in here, never crowded, but not beenat lunchtime

31 May 2007 18:49

The Cardinal, Victoria

"Beer drinkable but not good" don't know what ChrisF was drinking but the handpump Bitter is Fine, unless one of these people who call lager beer?

31 May 2007 18:47

The Buckingham Arms, Westminster

This is a traditional youngs pub with a friendly atmosphere but definately a lunchtime pub.CLOSED satuday evening

31 May 2007 18:43

The Phoenix, Victoria

i first went to this pub in 1982 as i watched the world cup in it, but what a transformation, gone are the carpets, t.v. screens and slightly dodgy characters, to be replaced by mainly diners, as this is now more of a gastropub, with pine everywhere & floorboards to match, they did have a decent real ale on though Deuchers IPA

31 May 2007 18:41

The Speaker, Westminster

Went on a Friday around 5.00pm BIG MISTAKE this place was heaving it does have an excellent sellection of real ales i'd say around five or six at a time but the pub is very small and it was full of Tossers in suits, you know the one's that are a foot away from each other but still find the need to YELL AT THE TOP OF THEIR VOICE because what they have to say is soooo important. rant over suggest going later in the evening.... not on a Saturday, when it's closed ????

31 May 2007 18:36

The Westminster Arms, Westminster

Suits pub closed on Sundays has around five real ales but mainly your usual selection think it closes early on saturday as well

31 May 2007 18:09

The Nobody Inn, Newington Green

Went to this pub to watch Arsenal V Chelsea,
as i'm a QPR fan & live in Chelsea, so didn't want to be surrounded by idiots, i wasn't dissapointed, it was a much more pleasant experiance with a mixed clientle mainly Arsenal fans, they had 2 real Ales on draught Black Sheep was one of them, oh & Chelsea didn't win (which was a bonus)

31 May 2007 18:05

The Bricklayers Arms, Putney

This pub is excellent even if it is a work in progress, every time i go in here i notice some small new addition, howevere the one constant ids the superb Timothy Taylors beers.

16 Feb 2007 16:32

The Royal Oak, Borough

I love this pub, but then i love Harveys beers, They normally have the full range including a seasonal, also they do huge portions of reasonably priced food.

16 Feb 2007 16:22

The Horseshoe, Hampstead

Went there on Sunday for lunch, My friend had the roast beef & i had the Belly Pork both succulent and served with their excellend bread, washed down with a pint of their own brew & a pint of Adnams oyster Stout

16 Feb 2007 16:05

Fitzroy Tavern, Fitzrovia

SORRY THE CHAMPION DOESN'T HAVE HANPUMPS EITHER TRY THE BLUE POSTS

16 Feb 2007 16:01

Fitzroy Tavern, Fitzrovia

Yet another Sam Smith's pub with NO Handpumps, if you mwant a decent pint of bitter go to the Champion

16 Feb 2007 15:57

The Bricklayers Arms, Fitzrovia

Please bear in mind if you are going there for the Sam Smith's OBB, They don't have handpumps in this pub.
and while the draught beer in sam smith's pubs is very cheap the bottled stuff is over 3.

16 Feb 2007 15:52

The Angel, Soho

This pub can get incredibly smokey but that apart it has OBB on Handpump for less than 2 so you cant go wrong

16 Feb 2007 15:50

The Wenlock Arms, Hoxton

This is a real locals pub apart from the fact it isn't a clique & everyone is always friendly even that bloke with the dodgy haircut that's always in there, They always have a mild on draught as well as real cider, oh & they do great salt beef sandwiches

16 Feb 2007 15:47

The Jerusalem Tavern, Clerkenwell

Please bear in mind this pub is CLOSED AT WEEKENDS i do wish it was made clear on this site as it's more than a pain doing a crawl & turning up at a closed pub, That apart when it is open it has almost the full range of St.Peters beers which are interesting to say the least

16 Feb 2007 15:42

The Harp, Covent Garden

Can get very busy as narrow bar but never had a problem being served by the friendly bsr staff, usually at least four interesting real ales on including Landlord, plus they have real cider from the cask in the fridge.

16 Feb 2007 15:38

The Antelope, Belgravia

This pub has recently been taken over by Fullers, so the beer has vastly improved, i was there the other week and had an excellent pint, as for the Lowndes arms yes it is now a house but that happened years ago.

23 May 2005 16:46

The Unthank Arms, Norwich

The Unthank Bitter is courage best! thank god i asked, they only had one decent real ale on draught apart from that, agree with the pretentious comment above, think this pub is more food orientated than beer

23 May 2005 16:29

Trafford Arms, Norwich

Went to this pub on Saturday night fair few people in but not packed, pool table so mixed age range, decent selection of real ales on draught.

23 May 2005 16:26

The Rose Tavern, Norwich

Went there yesterday and they had 1 real ale on, was a nice day so sat out on the patio area, otherwise quite dissapointing

23 May 2005 16:24

The Rosary Tavern, Norwich

Good back street boozer with a fine selection of real ales, friendly atmosphere

23 May 2005 16:21

The Ribs of Beef, Norwich

Went on saturday night and it was heaving, seemed a good atmosphere though and a fair selection of real ales

23 May 2005 16:18

The Duke of Wellington, Norwich

Went yesterday and they had 17 beers on draught, not bad for a sunday, got chatting to the landlord seemed very friendly, as well as all the real ales they had Timmermans peche (peach beer) on draught.

23 May 2005 16:12

The Coach and Horses, Norwich

This is the brewery tap for the Chalk Hill Brewery (visable at the back of the pub) they had four of their beers on when i visited, very friendly largish pub with decent food

23 May 2005 16:08

The Freemasons Arms, Norwich

This pub has changed hands and is now a free house, which was a huge dissapointment for me as i love woodfordes beers, they had a fair selection of beers though but not as many as the pub across the road so i buggered off there.

23 May 2005 16:04

The Fat Cat, Norwich

I was in this pub yesterday & they had 27 real ales on handpump or gravity, would give this pub a 10 apart from they didn't do food & i was starving
