The Vigo Inn, Vigo

Beer in the evening need to change the CLOSED status on this pub it is well and truly OPEN!!!!.
Last night the beers were Old Dairy Brewery ( Red Top ), Goachers Vigo Best and Adnams Lighthouse.
They do a variety of german Lagers and Westons cider as well as Guinness.
Food is also available but I am yet to try it!
The live bands are good on the fri,sat nights. Gets a bit crowded on these nights but it really adds to the atmosphere.
Andy and Val are really trying here ,The back garden is now open to the public with an outside bar and decking area with a BBQ. I can't wait for the winter nights as Andy has had a local ironmonger knock up an outside fire pit. Top Pub.......

The Chequers, Loose

what a Gem of a pub.. We found this pub by mistake as we were heading for The Lord Raglan for a spot of Sunday lunch only to find it shut,Never one to give up we turned around and took some back doubles to avoid some temp traffic lights and there she was like a light at the end of a tunnel,The food was Fantastic I had a garlic and king prawns on bruschetta and the old lady had a roast (Beef ) and I must say quite good portions( I had to help her finish the beef ).Both meals was less than a tenner each ,The staff were spot on.The real Ale was very good as well,Harveys,London Pride,Spitfire,
Well worth a visit and will be popping in again.

The Fox and Hounds, Romney Street

we went to the beer festival on the 28/08/2010, good beer, bit pricey( 3:00 a pint ) but you did not have to pay for the bands, my only gripe was the last band finished around 21:00, then there was a sort of disco which was ok as you could pick your taste of music from over 2000 songs on an ipod, but then from nowhere a woman just pulled the plug ( 21:45 ) and ended it there and then right in the middle of a song leaving every one in limbo, i think this was unjust as they have taken your money all day and no explanation why they shut it down so early,i had been looking forward to this event for ages and told a lot of people about it , I'm sorry to say i will give this one a miss from now on and take my custom elsewhere.
