Friendly atmosphere, really lovely homemade food-big portions!Seems to be a young couple running it who made us feel really welcome. A smart and relaxed feel ooh and they have a billiard table 10/10

really nice looking pub now its been refitted it seems to be taking some of the oegs trade, top class landlord best in town!!

The Gate Inn, Saffron Walden
What can i say?? what has happened to this local pub, it has been taken over again by a former cook, and seems to have completely lost its friendly atmosphere now, i couldnt get served in there as the bar staff were palyin on the fruit machine, and it looks like it hasnt been cleaned since the pub was built!! what a shame.
