The Crown and Crooked Billet, Woodford Green
Nice honest local pub that attracts a decent mixed crowd.
Offers your bog standard high street lagers and a few real ales. Food is nice and reasonably priced. Staff are very pleasant and friendly too.

Passed by just before Christmas and it appeared to be shut. Must admit I'd popped in a few times since moving here a couple of years ago and it was pretty grim to be fair.

Probaly the best pub in Erith/slate green of the few left. Not because it's particularly good more the fact the others are awful.
No real ales last time I was there just smooth and your standard lagers. Big screens for football etc.
The comment about the landlady is right though.

The people who own it have realy done well they have turned it round from been empty to getting a good mixed local crowd.
decent reasonobly priced bar foods nice decor two big screens for the football defently worth a visit if you are in the area

I wouldnt drink here again if it was the last pub in england. If your not in the managements gang you get treated like scum and made to feel like you are walking to your own execution when you come through the door.
The managements favouites can start fights but the inocent party is chucked out.
If they dont like your choice of music on the jukebox the skip the songs.
and its dingy and the decor is about 30 years out of date

The Nightingale, Wanstead
Went in here for the first time yesterday. Very clean and nice decor food was very nice just good quality old fashioned pub lunch food.
Pretty much your bog standard high street draught lagers but quite a good selection of bottled craft beers.
