The Flemming Arms, Binstead

Tastefully refurbished, a couple of real ales, very good value Sunday lunch, they do a loverly bit of pork, but very expensive drinks, the locals avoide it like the plage !

The White Hart Inn, Havenstreet

Not a bad pub for a quite drink, still got a public bar, but the talk is very much about tractors and hay makeing! We had a meal, in the other bar, not cheap 10 for a roast chicken, and I would discribe it as a microwaved cafe dinner, using catering quality food, it did used to be very good. Tried two real ales, not bad, drunk better.

The Yorkshire Grey, Fitzrovia

Not a bad pub at all, cheap enough, must be worth a visit when west end shopping, gets busy with BBC types.

The Greyhound, Hendon

Must be almost the last proper pub left in Hendon, always served cask Ale even in the Red barrel days, I was told the early C.A.M.R.A. were held here ?

The Bridge Hotel, Greenford

Castle Inn, Ryde

A proper working class drinkers pub, last of the few, try the H.S.B.

The Hare and Hounds, Arreton

Visited this pub for a special occasion, sunday lunch was very poor, beer disgusting, no Abbot or I.P.A. dispite being owned by Green King, and the drinks were very expensive.
Its a shame because it has lots of potential

The Lansdowne, Primrose Hill

Whar a differance, I was a regular to this pub in the 70"s. The nightly intertainment was one or two ageing strippers and a DJ who was at least 60, but it was also very popular because you could always get a bent M.O.T. from "Beesa" Bill on the pool table.
Where have all the real pubs gone ?
