The Cock Inn, Boughton Monchelsea

Great pub with a large selection of board games to play, sadly now a sheperd naeme pub. They do at least stock the more interesting ales from the range. Bishops finger, early bird and another was currently on, with dragon fire turned around.

The Crooked Billet, Leigh on Sea

Great nicholsons pub with six or so pumps.

28 Dec 2011 19:24

Red Lion, Cirencester

I can confirm that the pub is still open and with John still running the pub. Landlord was being served. Well worth visiting if your in the area.

Society Rooms, Maidstone

It has a far too large an open plan drinking area making it horribly noisy of a weekend. I try to avoid the place despite it's great range of reasonably priced ales.

The Old Windmill, South Hanningfield

Popped in for lunch on a saturday last year. They had 7 ales on all from the local crouch vale brewery. Food was tasty though expensive. we moved into the bar area after the meal and sat in some comfy leather sofas and had an enjoyable afternoon.

The Norton, Cold Norton

Trekked over from ramsden on a saturday night to watch goldstar play their first gig. Well worth a visit. The whole family had a great time.

They had four pumps but disappointingly only 2 were on. Doom bar and elbow grease were the offering. At the end of the evening doom bar finished and shropshire gold appeared. They offer a 10p a pint discount for camra members. The staff are volunteers working for free! Good atmosphere in the pub with the friendly locals and the band we're great too.

The Coopers Cask, Maidstone

The outside is currently being repainted, no real ale on. Had a pint of guinness instead. Its filed with lively locals, but the music was too loud for a snowy afternoon. it was however playing a great selection of madchester anthems.

The Admiral Gordon, Maidstone

All the previous reviews are a pretty accurate description. Not a fan as they only serve courage best and london pride

30 Jan 2011 07:53

The Museum Tavern, Bloomsbury

Had a very tasty pint of seafarers ale on a saturday evening, was busy but found a free table to sit in.

30 Jan 2011 07:49

The Coal Hole, Strand

On a saturday evening, I tried the old porterhouse and then the neville gwynne, no chance of siting down in either. The coal hole was my back up plan and it did not let me down. Had a tasty pint of jaipur ipa, they also had a thornbridge stout on but sadly did not try it.

30 Jan 2011 07:45

The Shaston Arms, Soho

Popped in on a saturday afternoon and found the last available table. Me and my friends pints of badger did not taste right. It was on the turn, the barmaid would not swap for a different ale, only swap it for another pint of badger, was not impressed!

30 Jan 2011 07:36

The Glasshouse Stores, Piccadilly Circus

Popped in on a saturday afternoon and had a tasty stout and wheat beer. The down stairs bar looked great but wasn't open. I ate a cheap and cheerful steak and and ale pie veg and chips for six pounds. will go back there next time I'm in the area. 8/10.

The Moat, Wrotham Heath

It has Badger First Gold on draught and Stinger in bottles, good service, friendly staff and tasty food. It is a large pub with plenty of places to sit down and a large beer garden.

The Pilot, Maidstone

Have been had a few great evenings here recently and the real ale has been well kept and they have recently had the fullers london porter on as a guest and Harveys kiss as the seasonal. One of my favorite pubs in Maidstone.

The pub is still closed.

1 Mar 2010 13:02
