North Star, Worthing

All changed here im afraid, totally hopeless if your hungry. Ordered scampi and chips got 7 pieces of scampi and eleven chips. Enough said, go anywhere else in Worthing and get at least a reasonable quantity of food. Avoid if you want a meal worth sitting down for, not a kiddies portion, such a shame as looks good inside.

The Landor, Clapham

Bit of a moan about the food here, ordered fish and chips quite expensive, nine quid for a measely portion and its not even cod, they serve you coley of all things. If my memory serves me I think we used to feed this to our cat as it was so cheap..Wouldnt recomend, rather a rip off..

The Hand in Hand, Streatham Hill

Such a shame, new people in really trying to make it work. Went in Saturday at 1.00pm, place absolutely dead, I was the only one there except the landlord who looked thoroughly dejected, no wonder as this pub will no doubt follow all the many others in the area to oblivion, sad..

The Coach and Horses, Whitstable

Trying to find some sensible info on this site about local Whitstable pubs, alas just this childlike drivel from this person calling himself LADHIMSELF.
Please, please keep this site for adults if poss.

The Swallows Return, Worthing

Very busy now all through on a Saturday but very efficently run by Kerry and her team. Lots of staff on hand behind the bar and very little waiting. Will visit again soon, Well run establishment with a very friendly and personel touch..

The Prince of Wales, Clapham

All is needed is for the manageress to smile a bit more and maybe make you feel a bit more welcome on a Saturday afternoon instead of grunting at you and basically making you feel unwelcome, such a shame because the pub itself is a jewel and always has been..

The White Hart, West Norwood

This pub just has to be the worst in Tulse Hill, and there are some right dubious ones to start with, avoid unless you like mixing with the dregs of the area.

The Kings Arms, Weymouth

Good friendly and efficient service from the female staff on duty but sadly the food a total letdown. Ordered Surf and Turf with Chips, chips underdone both my wifes and I sent them back as underdone, steak was as thin and as colourless as a rasher of bacon and the 5 measley hard prawns in breadcrumbs the least said the better, all at 11. 95 each, what superb value I dont think. So sad for such a prime position on the harbour. Best avoid the food, just have a beer and go....

The Nothe Tavern, Weymouth

Spent a week in Weymouth recently, came back to this pub time and time again, by far the best place to eat and drink in Weymouth Harbour. People in charge really knowhow to run things here, brilliant food and service, everything top notch including Jess the cat, even if he jumped on my wifes lap trying to scrounge a bit of steak, all great fun, great evenings. Very efficient and professional girls work here, especially Gill and Kerry. Look forward to next visit

The Spotted Cow, Angmering

The people who run and work this quaint pub restaurant have got it absolutely spot on, they know exactly who to treat customers by making you feel immediately welcome. Whats more the food is all home cooked excellent fare, served to your table in a very short space of time. This place is miles ahead of any rivals, well done Spotted Cow.

Toby Inn, Worthing

Called in last Sat afternoon for a pint, first time ive been in for about six months, waited at the bar money in hand for nearly ten minutes for my pint, gave up in the end and just left after complaining to a waitress who didnt seem to care less. One poor lad behind the bar trying his best to serve loads of customers waiting to be served, What on earth is wrong with the manager here to have just one person behind the bar, honestly it beggers belief how these managers get their job. What a total shambles, best to avoid until they get their act together.

North Star, Worthing

Passed this place early the other morning for the first time in about a year and my god what a run down dump it now looks from the outside, smashed down wall, two foot weeds everywhere, such a shame as it used to look so welcoming from the road. Mind you as I say its been about a year since I last saw it and maybe its now derilect and awaiting demolition, surely this must be the case as I cant imagine Ember Inns allowing this once smart pub to do business with the frontage looking like a war zone. Is it now closed up, can somebody please enlighten me...Many Thanks

The George and Dragon Inn, Chichester

Recent refurb has made this pub seem more upmarket, hasnt lost its charm, easily the best pub in Chi,We both always nearly end up here after our shopping jaunts, Excellent ambience...

The Bun House, Peckham

Watch your step in here, definately a haunt for the hardened drinker and worse.Certainly not a pub to bring the wife to.

The Landor, Clapham

Used to sit on the step of this pub when I was a kid while my dad had a drink inside, that was back in the 60s when it was strictly spit and sawdust. Now its alive and heaving with a fresh new leash of life, due mainly to the new young Landor set.Popular on Sat afternoons for the footie, boisterous, friendly and as I say packed to the gummels with a new generation that makes me feel ancient, how times change, sad but its nice to see this pub busy again.I was born just up the road and lived round the corner for 20 years.
That was a long time ago but I still pop in now and again, mainly for sentimental reasons.Mind you the beer is really good too..

The White Horse, Peckham Rye

A great pub on a Saturday morning for chatting to the old boys of Peckham.(What they dont know about Peckham over the years isnt worth knowing.Pub interior could do with a bit of brightening up as its a bit dingy, but still very friendly staff. Will go again.
