The cocktails used to be fabulous, not just the usual gallons of coloured liquid with a splash of alcohol, but proper cocktails made with fresh ingredients; white russian with fresh milk and mojitos with fresh mint, but i went in on saturday (9/02/08) and the menu had disappeared, most disappointing!

Vane Arms, Sudborough

Nice enough pub, friendly staff who made you feel welcome. Avoid the food as we found it obviously bought in and just heated up and therfore represented poor value for money. I was charged �3.50 for a dessert and then saw exactly the same dessert in the same portion size in Morrisons Cafe for about �1.50!!!

Delicious food, excellently presented. It's not the cheapest pub I've ever eaten in but the selection is really unusual and obviously prepared by a proper cook and not just a microwave operator

excellent Sunday lunch, friendly staff. I found �5 for a pint of diet coke and a pint of lime & lemonade ( which tasted like soda water) a tad steep
