I am actually very fond of this pub, my neighbours dog actually posted the previous comment. Despite the fact that the regular clientele are all dour faced long time alcoholics who appear to lost hope in life, the food and the drinks are very good value, and the pub lacks pretension as is welcoming. The alcohlism must be an unfortunate side effect of the level of poverty and associated social problems in some of the surrounding Battersea council estates.

This pub oozes sex appeal and star quality. Delicious drinks and sophisticated food are served by top notch staff. The clientele are classy and sexy, this would be a good place to find a would be lover.

Actually, no.

The clientele at the Asparagus are all hardened alcoholics whose lives have degenerated to the extent that they spend they their time wallowing in an alcohol induced haze of self pity and helplessness at this dreary and non-descript delapidated Wetherspoons pub.

Aesthectically are only one step above looking like they have just walked out of the local homeless hostel... they have puffy deformed red faces, odd fitting clothes and a dour aged 'given up hope years ago' look on their faces.
