Great pub. Moved to Tufnell Park about 4 months ago but only recently discovered this gem. Good food, good bar staff and good music!

Since the refit, the atmosphere has gone, the prices have gone up and you have to wait for ages to get served.
A crying shame.

I only go in here occasionally but have always found the bar staff friendly and helpful. The atmosphere's always good and certainly better than the majority of other local alternatives.

You have to be extremely desperate to end up in here for a pint. Absolute hate it in here, poor service and moody barstaff all add to the crap atmosphere. If ever I'm supposed to be meeting someone in Walthamstow now, I'll meet them in The Vic, just down the road as it has a far more friendly atmosphere.

Visited here the other day and found the bar staff to be very friendly and the food excellent. Good selection of drinks too!

Have to agree with becks007 about this one. My heart always sinks when my work colleagues suggest going here instead of the Black Bull just down the road.
Surly staff and slow service have been the themes whenever I've been in there. Not been there for about 6 months now so it may have changed but I doubt it.

Love this pub. I work nearby and have to say that this is probably the best pub in Stratford. Cheap, unpretentious food during the day (and very reasonably priced too!) and a good atmosphere in the evening. The Guinness is good too.

Ye Olde Black Bull, Stratford
Having got over my initial shock of the refit a few years back, I have to say that this is still the best pub in Stratford.
