Bulls Head, Goring By Sea

We had dinner here today and I must say it wasn't bad the food was very nice, but the service wasn't brillant. The food was slow, they did apologise; we had a toddler with us which was not that great for being so late with our food!! As anyone realizes with young ones they don't undestand!!! So in this case I find it not suitable, but it was pleasant, enjoyable pub.
I found the maneger quite rude and could be more helpful, will go there again but proberly not with a small child!!

The Hangleton Manor, Hangleton

Me and my sisters took my gran here today, wow!! I wasn't disappointed, one of my sister arranged it and I didn't know anything about this place until today, very nice!! I would go back tomorrow if I had the chance!! The staff were friendly as other reviews have said, food was amazing, a tad expensive but well worth it!! Proper home cooked food which in most restaurants you don't get these days!! There were children there and they were well behaved, I have a child (who didn't come this time) but I would bring him with no problems, the only thing I would say if you are thinking of bringing them is keep them amused as I don't think it's the sort of place for them to run around screaming in!! Keep them supervised and don't let them get bored!!
There was a log fire going too, food came out quickly and didn't have to wait for too long, when it did my god!! The plate was huge!!! No need for a starter!!
I would rate this place a A+
The one thing I would say if you have children is go early as we went about 12pm and when we left around 1.30pm it was filling up, the car park had no spaces eathier. If your not bothered in it being busy go later but if you like it quilter then go around 12pm and it will be nice, I'm not sure on the evening I'll have to go and find out one day!!

The Spotted Cow, Angmering

This pub is my favourite for a decent home cooked food on a Sunday (or any day), a bit pricey but for some well good food that isn't packed job in the microwave, which lets face it nearly all of them are, this one isn't and I wouldn't mind paying a little exra money for proper food!! The pub side is very old type of pub, how it should be, not like these modern type pubs!! We don't want to go to these type of pubs all the time!!

The Mulberry, Goring By Sea

We went to this pub this afternoon for a quick bite to eat and somewhere different to go on a Sunday, wanted somthing local and I know this pub is nice, it was unfortunately the food was terrible, sad really as this pub is a very nice pub to drink in!! Very well done out inside and lovely outside, I couldn't falt the way it which is welcoming to families, we have a little one and this was great for him so I thought this would be really nice to have a spot of early dinner here but I was sadly disappointed and wish we drove instead to the spotted cow!!

The House of Soul, Littlehampton

This used to be The Spotted Cow

The Fox and Hounds, Farley Hill

Walk straight past this pub, do not enter!
I have only seen four people in here and that was including me and my husband! I think there is saw dust on the floor from the massive amount of custom they have in this pub [you might of guessed I am being sarcastic]!
This pub could be a really nice if they put more ethicism in it, instead they rather sit and watch t.v than opening there eyes and looking to see what they could do about making it better. It's a shame because it is in great surroundings and the beer garden would be a really good feature, if only they did this pub up, it would'nt take much.

The Lamb Inn, Durrington

A old man's pub or a pub just to sit quietly in and chat [or in other words to be boring in!].

The Spotted Cow, Angmering

I used to go here with my parent for a sunday roast, the best place to go for a sunday roast in this area!!

The House of Soul, Littlehampton

This has now changed to the House of Soul and as you see from the name, well come on "House of Soul" who ever thought of that must be stupid!! They should of called it Crap Bar because thats what it was and I think it will always be CRAP! People who go here and then go onto the Tower Club can't afford to go into Worthing!!
Girls who go here are so under age, they wear white knee high boots, for goodness sake now if thats not a give away i'm Victoria Beckham!! The blokes are so uncool, they all wear Burberry caps and I would never pull a bloke with a Burberry cap! Would you girls?! The people that go in this pub drink alcopops!!
Do not ever and I mean ever go into Littlehampton on a Friday or a Saturday night, get the train into Worthing, it will be miles better than Littlehamton!!

Toad At Presshouse, Worthing

Well this pub is a great for a second pub or the last pub then if you are going onto night club in worthing after. Very busy in here and I have often felt ill because it's so hot or I was drunk!! Be prepared to wait ages for a drink unless you come here before 8.30!!
Can't remember how much the drinks are usally pissed by then!!
Usally there is the same people in here every week and there's always someone you know!! But in Worthing that is'nt hard!!
I like this pub if I go down town, make sure this is in your pub crawl list!

Bar Med, Reading

I went here with my husband we thought the bar was nice but average for the bars in Reading, I feel it's not a pub it's a bar.
It's ok for the first bar of the evening but it's only a bar for one drink and then move onto another!!
Don't eat here the food is awful!!!! The menu looks appetising but when you eat it, it's shocking how chefs [if you can call them chefs!] serve it that is very puzzeling!! The starters are ok but that is about it!!

Ye Olde Ship Inn, Guildford

I used to like this pub when my Granparents lived well literaly around the back of it!! But they dont live there anymore, I thought this pub was great!! What fun days I had when I was older enough to drink there!! My Grandad used to know the owners so I was always welcome anytime, they used to chat to me about alsorts of things, I don't suppose it's changed!! I must go back there some day!! Anyway, the staff are really lovely and the bar food is great! They used to do mini pizza's as snacks, I wonder if they still do? I remember once I went in there and got so drunk and I did'nt have to walk far back to my Granparents, I got so told off when I gor back! I must of just turned 18 at the time! I would think it's still the same, go there for me and let me know if it's still the same.

The Manor Inn, Godalming

Before it was a Out & Out it was a loverly pub, I used to go with my granparents. They loved it and because they did I used to go somtimes, now though i'm not so keen I still get subjected to go when I visit my gran [my Grandad pasted away]. I don't know why she still goes but I think the OAP's get used to what they know! If it was me I would'nt go there, there are far more better pubs to go to!
The food is really poor, I remember I wanted something and they said the thing with it they did'nt have [I think it was rice], I was quite disappointed because. I did'nt want to make a fuss because my Gran was with me!!
I think the staff are more concerned about money or what they are doing after there shift than customers.
Go somewhere else!!

North Star, Worthing

When I come back to see my parents I have to pop into my local [which is this one], I come here with my mates and catch up on what's been happning. It's really good because it feels like your in a pub in town but your not! you can still chat and you can hear what they say and hear really cool tunes too!! I recommend this pub for the youngsters or the people that still act young inside [like me!]!! Not for the grumpy people, this pub is for happy chatty people who what to chat with there mates and get really drunk and if you boring and want to sit quitely in a pub go to the Lamb up the road!

Ye Olde Leathern Bottle, Wokingham

Me, my husband and my Mum went to this pub today [Easter Sunday] and I have to say we were pleasantly surprised, we phoned up to book a table [being easter we thought it would be busy] and they said to be there for 12pm, we did'nt know why but seen as we have never been to this pub we thought it would be a good idea just incase. I said to the staff could we have some drinks in the bar because eating at that time is far too early and they were very helpful, they said it would'nt be a problem.
We arrived at the pub at 12pm and we thought it looked a very relaxed pub, when you have your Mum with you that was very helpful!! They showed me the table while my husband was getting the drinks in so we knew where to go when we were ready.
So we sat down just by the log fire and had a few drinks before our meal, then after a while I asked the waitress what the procedure was and they were very helpful, then they just mentioned that we should eather go to the table or have your meal where you are because we cant keep two tables free, we thought that it was'nt fair for others so we said we could have our meal where we were when we were ready, the waitress bought our place mats over and left us alone, my husband spotted some papers by the bar and we read them quite comfortably while we were drinking!!
A hour and a half went past and I was getting hungry so we decided to eat, well the choice I could'nt believe my eyes!! I love food [you might of guessed] and that was just great I have never seen so much choice!! There was what was in the menu and on the specials board, I choose Lamb which was a sunday dinners choice, my Mum had rainbow trout and my husband has Sirloin steak [he had it rare], not long after we orded it the meal came and oh my it was massive, I did'nt think there was'nt much veg but oh yes it was!! veg was just how I liked it!! My husband said the steak was cooked just how he liked it and he is quite pickey!! My mum liked her trout it came as a hole fish!! I could tell it was freshly cooked food and not that microwaved food you get in some pubs!!
We finished it and then I think the maneger took our plates away, he was very nice and chatty and asked us if it was ok and we agreed because it was, then we had pudding!! what a selection!! We then decided and well it was very nice, my Mum could finish it!! My husband had to nelp her!
We then sat for a while and disgust that we would have to go for a walk!! My husband got the bill and he was shocked how little it cost!!
We would most likely come back, this pub would be great for the older generation and couples, children are welcome but away from the bar so it's quite nice for though's of you who have'nt got children or want a break from them!! Because you cant see them or hear them, but though's who have they can scream as much as they like because it's ok too! I would'nt bother booking a table because you can easly get one, this pub is great anytime of the year!

Me and my husband will come back at some point, this pub would also be nice in the evening when you want to unwind and chat amongest yourselves with not that horrible banging music in the background which you cant hear yourselves think too, if you know what I mean! Gosh I'm getting old if I'm saying things like that!!
