Gertie Brownes, East Finchley

Excellent pub for football, chat and banter. Beer is really good, cheap, and bar staff are friendly. Not the sort of place you'd go on a night out, well maybe you'd step in for a couple, but it's ideal for every other occasion.

O'Neills, Soho

Great bar. Was in there recently and they had a cracking band playing. A bit annoying in that the tourists keep coming in and out, and the pub is also strangely laid out, but overall I would definite return when I next visit London.

O'Neills, Ealing

Great boozer. Enjoy watching the football and at the weekends the music is very good, although repetitive given they have the same two bands all year.

Toilets in dire need of a makeover but still one of my favourite haunts in Ealing.

The Shawl, South Harrow

If you fancy a fight no better place to go. Otherwise steer clear.

Winchester Pub Hotel, Highgate

Will never step foot in this pub again. I've come across some ignorant bar staff in my time but I've never seen so many in one place!

I went to the pub for a birthday party so couldn't leave early, and every time I ordered a drink I was made feel like I was making the bar staff do something that wasn't in their job description. Absolutely shocking behaviour and ultimately spoiled my night out.

There are many nice pubs in the Highgate area. This, however, is not one of them. Steer clear.

Jono's, Ealing Common

A great pub with a really friendly atmosphere. Went there on a Saturday night, where they had a great band playing, and also a big crowd.

However, my night was soured by the extremely slow service when ordering a drink. Despite the pub being really busy the barmaids didn't seem in too much of a hurry, which left a lot of punters frustrated.

A nice bar, but unless the service improves I won't be going back.
