Went inabout 10pm on Weds night,a pub quiz on and enjoyed the atmosphere ,but not many in.Good pint of Jennings Snecklifter.Only drawback was having to go down 2 flights of stairs to toilets.

Areally nice, comfortable pub with loads of couches to sit on.Agood selection of real ales.I had Theakstons Grouse Beater which was spot on,and Cottage Brewing Memphis Belle which was excellent.Well recommended if you want a nice quiet drink.

A good selection of 6 real ales.Food a bit pricey.Went in on Tuesday evening and it was fairly busy.Went again on Wednesday evening but it was closed to the public because of a private function, which I found unusual for a pub.

The cleanest and best pub by far.
Castle Rock house with 5 own real ales plus 3 guest ales and 2 cask ciders.
Very friendly and knowledgable staff and good prices.

Visited with wife as we had arrived in Newark as strangers and didn't know what to expect. One end of bar was taken up by the usual Wetherspoons wobblies.Staff had to tell them to stop using foul language but continued to serve them drinks, even though a couple of them had clearly had too much.
We moved to the other endofthe bar but could still here the bad language.
Didn't go in again, much nicer pubs close by.

Had 2 reasonably priced meals, sausage and mash and a pint and a half of Tribute for just under £20.Nice and comfy and not too noisy.

Stayed just round the corner from this pub and made it my local for the week.Agood selection of Welsh ales plus draught Bass and friendly locals and bar staff.Pity they don't do food other than buns and pork pies.

The Town House, Llandudno
Called in for a pint on a very hot Weds afternoon.Only about half a dozen in.Seemed clean and tidy, friendly bar staff. The real ale was Dafad Du.I have never seen it before but it was nice.I would be pleased if anyone can tell me who brews it.
