The Arkle Manor, Betchworth

I frequently pop into this pub, as there's plenty of room for my children to run around (both inside and out). I've always found the staff polite & efficient, and the food of a good standard (and reasonably priced).

It could do with a few more ales. Last time I was in they at least had the Surrey Hills 'Shere Drop' on tap.

The Abinger Hatch, Abinger Common

Popped in here for a Saturday lunch. The place was heaving, due to a wedding in the church over the road!! That didn't stop the staff quickly finding us a table, and sorting us with drinks before bring us the menus.

Considering how very busy it was we were served quickly and politely, and the roast pork I had was simply divine.

All eight handpumps appeared to be in action. I tried the Hogsback 'TEA' & Purity Brewery 'Pure Gold'. Both were in tiptop condition.

The Well House Inn, Mugswell

Although I've never eaten here I do enjoy a beer or two at the establishment. The beer garden is lovely when the weather is good. My last visit on 24/03/11 was as good as always. I enjoyed well kept pints of Surrey Hills 'Shear Drop', Dorking 'DB1' & a slightly lesser know beer (to me at least) Hammerpot 'Woodcote Bitter'.

Blubeckers at Gomshall Mill, Gomshall

Went for an early Mother's Day meal at lunchtime on Saturday 2nd April 2011. Much improved from the BluBeckers years, with sandwiches & ploughmans now added to the menu. All four pumps were on, dispensing Hogs Back 'Spring Ale', Andwell 'Spring Twist', W J King 'Old Ale' & their own Brunning & Price 'Original Bitter'. I decide to try all four - they were all in tip top condition!!
