The Teversal Grange, Teversal

Good carvery, singers on at the weekends, friendly staff, more of a restaurant then a pub really. Disappointing lack of outside seating for summer evenings though

Picture House, Sutton In Ashfield

Known locally as the Job Club as next door to the job centre and is where the unemployed gravitate to after signing on.

The Hardwick Inn, Doe Lea

Nice, quaint pub in a lovely location but let down by disappointingly average food (although huge portions) and a few miserable staff. Huge selection of whiskeys as well as the usual pub beverages and a few ales. Very busy on summer evenings as there are a large beer gardens to both the front and rear and therefore usually snided with kids. We have always been of the opinion that if it wasn't in such a stunning location it would've closed years ago.

Carnarvon Arms, Teversal

Refurbished last year and all the better for it. Nice beer garden. Usually has IPA, Old Speckled Hen and Abbot Ale on draft plus a good selection of wines. Service is good although does get busy at weekends. We have been consistently disappointed with the food though. The meals are relatively expensive (8-10) for a main but are nothing special. Don't get me wrong they're not bad, they're just overpriced and of decent but by no meals amazing quality. If you DO want an amazing meal out for similar prices try the White Bear, Stretton or The Elm Tree at Heath both of which are far, far, far superior.
