The Old Green Tree, Bath

We visited this pub twice in early February 2008. It has two very cosy rooms with a central, but tiny bar. The service was good and we all found the Green Tree Ale to be quite excellent; its a bit light but still quite tasty. One of the regulars brings his large black Labrador mix in (he was there both times).

The Cove, Covent Garden

Busy spot. Staff a bit inattentive. Good selection of Cornish Ale. Met a really interesting academic from Cornwall and had a lovelly nice long chat. Its worth a visit.

Porter's Bar, Covent Garden

I can't believe the crappy reviews. This was a great place for dinner...traditional English food was excellent. The beer (can't rememeber what it was called) is served in unique very large bottles and was absolutely fantastic. People need to get a grip. This is a great place.

The Museum Tavern, Bloomsbury

This is a great pub with not the greatest list of ales and the staff are slow and extremely inattentive...determined through 4 visits in one week.

The Bloomsbury Tavern, Bloomsbury

We visited this pub 3 or 4 times in May 2006 during a week visit...staying in Bloomsbury. it was always very busy when we were there but the bar staff were efficient and very friendly. They have a good selection of Kentish ales. Patrons were on the noisy side!
