A Cracking back street pub. Beers are kept well and although quiet in the early evening it warms up up latter.

The choice of real ales is variable but on the whole are kept well. The food is reasonable and good value for money. BUT, the place is not and cannot be a "local". The staff can be moody and to busy to converse, the duty manager(s) are not the friendliest of folks and one in particular has a real bad attitude. Also it is getting tacky, probably through good use, but sit in a comfy chair with short sleeves and then peel your arms off the fabric.
I may be old fashioned but it costs nothing for a smile and a good evening!!

Could be busier in early evening. Beer kept well - most of the time.

Bish, the new landlord has done a brilliant job of cleaning up the establishment. His beers are varied and are always in good condition, Cornish Coaster sells very well. I would recommend a visit on a Sunday afternoon when you can listen to good live jazz and good craic while enjoying a range of varied nibbles from the bar.
BUT what a shame; in the grand tradition of PubComs Bish is having to move on, today I believe.
You will be missed Bish and I wish you well, you have done a brilliant job and I for one sincerley thank you as I am sure all your regulars do.
