Good pub - like the other people here say its the place for a friday / saturday boozefest but the food is also good too - most of it is tasty and good value and doesn't look like it has come straight out the microwave!

good / popular quiz night on a tuesday!
food has been very nice too although I have to agree about some of the staff who are very rude / arrogant! The owner / manager is probably the exception who was friendly on our last visit!

yeah this place is the best local - basically because it doesn't need to try with gimmicks etc. Its a good pub with good beers and friendly staff (which should be enough in itself) but couple this with the fact the food is great too - brilliant! It does get busy at lunchtimes though (as expected) and its advisable to book.... oh and they've started doing a quiz once a month too!

No its been refurbished and completely tarted up a week or so ago! Haven't been inside myself but pass by every day and seems a lot brighter and cleaner inside although I suspect some of the locals that used to go there probably aren't happy!

Yeah nice pub - especially in the summer when they open all the side doors to the street. Good food too - they even seem to cope well with large groups at lunchtime unlike a lot of other places!
