The Crown and Anchor, Edmonton

bit of a shame. used to be a good irish pub, now covered in football flags (spurs and rangers) and looks a bit run down inside. good beer though, and not the worst place in edmonton.

The Drury Arms, Colchester

The Fox and Fiddler, Colchester

strange pub. likes to make out its a good old fashioned pub, but is slowly becoming another squaddie pub, and not for good reasons. you get jeff walking around who looks like a coke-head who's just ran out of cocaine, with the customer service skills of a pitbull.some daytime bar staff are a bit ropey, especially the one's borrowed from mollys. its one of the last surviving 'pubs' in town but is on a downward spiral i think...........

The Stockwell, Colchester

after living in the dutch quarter for 5 years and spending a lot of time in the stockwell,i wasnt surprised it closed down. the beer was awfull(i had bottled beer), and in the end no-one went there, including myself, as old brian was clearly losing his marbles. I have since moved from the area compltetely and was happy to hear it had re-opened.i visited recently and it looks fantastic. the beers are soooo much better and the dutch quarter now has its pub back.was slightly saddened some OLD faces were back like dave whyte, as they will only put people off in the long run, but im sure the new owners will find out for themself soon enough, but the pubs definately back on track.

Fashion Cafe Bar, Colchester

run by a fat turk, a little expensive, a bit small, not what it was, or could be. there are better pubs in town.

The Brewers Arms, Colchester

well where do i start? most people in there can barely read or write, (apart from dss forms obviously), and is probably the worst pub in colchester. full of skin heads, jobless, single mothers, crack heads, crims,.......you get the picture. if you fancy a good punch up, or stabbing, this is the place! still, the more low lifes in here the less there are in other pubs........
