Lovely pub. Never busy but I suppose that is because it is so over priced! Nice food in the day time. Nice and cosy at Christmas time.

Horrible horrible little pub. Could someone please enlighten me with what the appeal is with this pub? Pretentious and arogant 'regulars'. Unable to get to the bar due to people sitting at the bar and blocking access. Avoid at all costs when the weather is bad as it becomes really busy and the place stinks of sweaty blokes, bad breath and BO. Unable to hold a conversation due to noise. Personally I would avoid at all costs and go to the Dove a mile down the road which is much nicer.

Not a bad place however don't go if you are feeling hungry! Disapointing small portions of over hyped and over priced food! Nether the less nice feel about the place if a little pretentious. Drinks over priced too

AVOID! For a treat my wife and I stayed here recently and used the resturant and bar. Nearly �4 for a pint of Adnams?! Are you taking the pi$$? Is that transportation fees or something?!!!! Dingy tiny back bar with the feel of a doctors waiting room topped of with slow service. Resturant not much better either. For the price it was a total let down. Use the Nelson instead.
