Spotted Cow, Poole

Had a really good meal, all 3 of us, with great drinks at a clean table. Only hassle was had to replace the cutlery as it had dried food on it!

The Lord Wimborne, Poole

Went there with a load of friends - Nice Pickled Partridge pint. Didn't have food but it looked nice. Good pub. Did headstand on the bar - easy!

The Blue Raddle, Dorchester

Second attempt at a drink at this pub. Last time it was closed on a Monday (see earlier comment) and this time, one of my party of 6 was below the age of 14. So 6 drinks and 6 meals lost - so I am giving up at this pub and, when in Dorchester, will always take my custom elsewhere.

We went to the Wetherspoons - Royal Oak and had an excellent meal and great beer at good prices.

Well, I liked it!
Been there 3 times now. Beer always tasty. Good variety too and at the right temperature.
I have also eaten there 3 times and I thought the food was really really good.

The Kings Bar & Bistro, Amersham

Used in a recent Agatha Christie's Poirot AND was in one of the wonderful old 1960's Miss Marple films.

The Grove Arms Inn, Ludwell

It was okay. Only on real ale on. Friendly barman BUT when the landlord walked past us, (only 2 of us in the pub), not a word. That tells me something.

I won't bother stopping again.

The Coach and Horses, Wimborne

When will pubs learn? If they see a stranger at the bar, at 11.30 a.m. waiting for a drink, why carry on cleaning the fridge glass, and not look up with a smile? Don't they know the first thing about meet & greet?

White Lion Hotel, Upton on Severn

You can always rely on excellent real ale, pulled sensitively. If you ask- you are lilely to be given a taste to help you choose. Always good guest beers, nice food and a comfy set of sofas. Parking round the back!

The Green Man, Wimborne

Nice, friendly pub.

The Thomas Hardye, Dorchester

Visited on a hot lunchtime. Lovely cool interior. Quiet atmosphere. Food was tasty and rapidly served. Good value too. Beer was good. Shame the barman was displaying the fact he was not enjoying his job and would rather be out in the sun.

Lovely beer.
Great range too.

Brewhouse and Kitchen, Dorchester

Went there on a Saturday lunchtime. The food was AMAZING in taste, and excellent value for money.
The Stella was really cold and very tasty - but a shame there was a problem with the cellar and no real ale on. If I go again and the beer is good, I might increase my rating.

Good food, good beer, good view over trains too.
However, landlord never gives a friendly welcome. This is the area for improvement.
