back in Eltham for another family get together and thought I'd try the Park Tavern again since my first visit last year ..... found out that the pub is still as I remember it and they're celebrating Cask Ale week this year by knocking 10p off all their pints of ale !! Tried 4 of the 7 on offer yesterday and was told that there's another 8 different beauties sat in the cellar waiting to be enjoyed !! will be back again at the weekend to enjoy a sup or five in pleasant and sociable surroundings !! Can't recommend the place enough ... it's a real gem !!

called in at the weekend .... seems they are having a mini real ale & cider fesival or "celebration" until sunday 7th October .... had * ales & 2 ciders available with a total of at least 12 ales to be tried & enjoyed over the coming week !! All for just �3.40 a pint and only �3.00 a pint for us CAMRA members ..... don't forget your card !! lovely little pub, very helpful staff and great beer .... I'll definitely be back again next weekend !!

The Albert Arms, Elephant and Castle
don't know what simonmetz experienced on his visit but since the pub reopened last year with new hands-on owners we've been made to feel very welcome ..... and our little group of 8 are from various far flung parts of the world ! Perhaps the traditional idea of "welcome to my house , what can I get you?" has been lost in the modern generation who feel no obligation to buy from "mine host" ?? we all enjoy the charm & old fashioned feel of the place .... a very pleasant oasis to enjoy a pint or 4 of well kept ale or reasonably priced wine .... the small but delightful food menu is well worth a try!! .... posted by a very satisfied but unconnected local customer ...

popped in one evening on hearing good things about this pub .... quite surprised to find a wide range of drinkers by age ....from conversations we had it seems they're largely all drawn to the ales & wine or the buzz of the place .... can't believe that light classical music & jazz could be so inobtrusive!! Ales on top form and had 6 to chose from .... shame that grub is only served at lunchtime ..... would recommend it as a well run little pub that you can strike up a sensible chat with your fellow inbiber ..... will be back !

The Park Tavern, Eltham
just to give a shout that there's a beer & cider festival this weekend ..... called in on my annual visit to family in the area and was thrilled to see that I (and some cousins) will be enjoying an interesting ale or 5 this weekend !!
would recommend it !!
