The Inn Beer Shop, Southport

First visit to this pub on my trip to Southport. Enjoyed a pint of Southport golden ale. Fantastic range of bottle beers form many countries. Add 50p to price and you drink it on the premises. Freindly and keen owners.

The Black Bull Inn, Bangor

A better tha average Wetherspoons with enthiastic staff who are proud of their beer. Excellent beer quality including welsh micro beers.

The Colpitts Hotel, Durham

A year since my last visit. Had get early bus home otherwise I'd of been legless with this superb pint of OB. Three good pints at £1-80 a pint.

The William Web Ellis, Twickenham

Tipical Wetherspoons. Some nice armchairs near entrance. Called on Cup final day, had some well kept beer with a great choice including Oakham JHB, Thorbridge Jaipur, Rudgate Ruby Mild and Twickenham Naked Lady plus others. Forget the ambience good choice, good beer all at good prices.

Great old pub, worth a visit just to see the bar fittings. Nice pint of Duechers and Flying Scotsman from Caledonian.

The Bree Louise, Euston

First visit to this pub near Euston Station. Wide selection of real ales, but the quality was only average. A good atmosphere and worth another visit.

The Glittering Star, Darlington

Friendly pub just down the road from Darlingtons market. Recently repainted its mainly a haunt for men during the day who friendly banter helps the beer flow. An excellent pint at �1.42p in December and sandwich at a �1-00p, beat that for value. Bus for Middlesbrough near by.

The Princess Louise, Holborn

Return visits on concecutives days endorsed my love for this real gem of a pub.
I was last here in 2009. A good mix of drinkers who seem more sociable than most in London. Try the Citte Of York further down High Holborn for another of Sams gems. This is the best though.

The Collingwood Arms, Jesmond

A grand historical pub at the east end of Byker Bridge. Fine view outside of Ouseburn with the Cluny down the bank or Freetraders if you head towards the river. Take your time savour this lovely pub which Oz Clarke and James May visited. a rare piece of common sense from those two.

The Princess Louise, Holborn

Loved this classic pub with it's busy atmosphere. If you try one pub in London this is the one. The fitting are the best I've seen in years. simply don't miss this pub and have a walk all the way round and enjoy.

Great Sam Smiths pub well worth a visit, make first after Ye Olde Mitre in Hatton Garden. This historical pub should not be missed. Old Brewery �1.88 a pint in London

Ye Old Mitre, Holborn

Wonderfull old pub hidden down an alley in hatton garden. Friendly boss who tells you where all the other good pubs are in the area. A good start to a nice pub crawl Good beer served efficienty, will call in again next time I'm in London.

The Cumberland Arms, Ouseburn

Next to Byer Bridge on the eaast side above Ousburn and the lovely Cluny sits absolute gem. Not to be missed this bare board pubs with a real fire and excellent Real Ale. Do not miss this pub which I hope never changes withnice staff and clientel..

The Britannia Inn, Darlington

Excellent local pub with good beer, friendly staff and locals. Interior is cosy in the old style. Worth the walk from the own centre. I'll call again when in town.

An old coaching inn with bar through archway. Not the friendliest I,ve been in lately, food seamed more important than beer. Ticked off my list.

The Grey Horse, Consett

This little pub on Sherburn Terrace brews it,s own award winning beers. White Hot at 4% with a grapefruit finish was good but the Red Dust at 4.5% a dark red beer was my favourite. Friendly Landlady and locals. A beer festival on August Bank Holiday weekend.

My local which has low real ale sales which handicaps the landlords choice due to Wetherspoons insisting on 3 Regulars beers. Beers good and the staff friendly.

The Crown Posada is known as the Coffin, what a place to die Inn. Great victorian with friendly and good beer including regional beers.

On a Tyne side pub crawl this one is never missed. Great bar and Sam Smiths Old Brewery. Try fish and chips on the near by Fish Quay.

A pub not to be missed close to the river and market. Lots of maritime regalia and a ghost in this gem. Friendly and enthusiastic bar maid who knows her beer.

The Grand, Bishop Auckland

A grand pub hidden away under the railway bridge behind ASDA car park. An afternoon drink of First Yard from Surtees Brew pub Ferryhill had a nutty and treacle flavour at 3.8%. Missed on Grand owns brew because not ready, so I need to call in again. Friendly staff.

The cheapest and the best pint in Durham. Present price for Old Brewery Bitter �1.34p. A gem of an old pub just for drinkers, try also the Alpine Lager and Draught Stout.
