The Assembly Rooms, Epsom

This venue has become one of the best in town. Sunday Night poker is a great laugh. The ale festival on at the moment makes it the only place in epsom to get a decent pint of real ale.

The Blenheim, Epsom

as the anonymous person unwittingly said;
more and more new people in epsom are picking The Blenheim as one of their facorite pubs in Epsom

indeed FACORITE is the exact word i would use.

Elements, Epsom

in reply to tinkerbella's last message...
I beg to differ, If you could get your hands on the incident reports by the local police (which you cant) you would see that infact the number of fights reported in or arround the chicago "rock" cafe, be they middle class or girls, are in fact growing in number. name me a weekend which has passed by fight free, I will eat my imaginary hat.

The Vibe, Epsom

tiny dingy, thinks its hip (and also that people use the term hip) full of pretentious ex-art students who now murder old hits karaoke style.
overpriced design nightmare, perfect for over 30's looking to drown failed career sorrows.
free from atmosphere and welcome, when it has any customers at all theyre wishing they were elswhere.

The Ship, Croydon

Tis the best place in town Yar!
Nice songs comin out speakers, and rum to drown my sorrows. Live music is good, pricing is fair, anad the home of the grubby and long of the hair!
Pirates welcome.

The Black Sheep Bar, Croydon

Good venue with some tasty staff, shame about the bands tho, same tired acts repeating the same crap every few weeks. some exceptions but few and far between.
long queues and loud lack of talent.
attract the local "alternative" kids and oldies who are still 14 at heart.
depends on the night, take your chances.

The Cricketers, Epsom

A good example of Ember inns.
brilliant location especially arround summer.
not bad for food but far better places locally.
lots of off duty police officers reduces the chance of brawls, or any excitement at all really.
good safe place to take your mum for a drink on sunday.
not the hallmark of excellance it once was tho.

The Symonds Well, Epsom

brilliant pub, nice beers, friendly staff and regulars, great layout and a bowling machine YAY!
shame about the live sport being the focus of attention but still great atmosphere and a top place to go.
9/10

The Albion, Epsom

the unfortunate live sports coverage does attract a pikey element which could be done without, but the atmosphere is usually quite subdued. good quallity service nice staff, general smokey goodness.
A few nights of the month but not my prefered setting for a night out.
BUT they do have the bowling machine. would walk through fire to play that.

The Barley Mow, Epsom

unless its summer not really worth the walk.
good parking in the rear (not like that) attracts a local element. Managment known to drive away locals, to lesser pubs. food can't compete with other "gastro" types.
Old man pub in the day, boozer pub at night.

13 Feb 2007 11:57

The Rising Sun, Epsom

since the refurb, great place to drink. best food available due to the master chef in residence Matt.
Run by a top gent who looses at poker quite allot.
Worth every penny.

13 Feb 2007 11:53

The Plough and Harrow, Epsom

good place to have a drink and then get stabbed.
avoid if possible. reputed in the area. windows often replaced. Sports on telly ect ect...
intresting pictures on the wall tho.

13 Feb 2007 11:47

The Kings Arms, Epsom

average place to be honest, good service and friendly chat, older crowd usually.
not the best food, but the sunday roasts are well above par.
if your passing, stop off for lunch and a pint.

13 Feb 2007 11:45

The Star, Ewell

Excellent for a night out. Live music is always top quallity (especially nite train) good service and some lovely barmaids. quiet in the day and busy at night.
good allround pub.

13 Feb 2007 11:42

The Famous Green Man, Ewell

One of the best pubs in town, Nice selection of ales, the best food for miles, brilliant bar staff and waitresses.
Top score all round.

13 Feb 2007 11:40

The Wheatsheaf, Ewell

brilliant village pub, good quallity food and drink, nice atmosphere, run by a top bloke.
plus lovely barmaids.

The Assembly Rooms, Epsom

I agree with kobyrne, its not worth the watery "beer" its soaked in. musicless, atmosphere free, watering hole of the job seeker. Beligerant door men who I.D old age pensioners, poor service at best. god help you if you eat there.

like the man says, go to the marquis accross the road, unless you frequently offer your custom to weatherspoons in which case please remain behind.

13 Feb 2007 11:35

Casa, Epsom

intresting seating arrangement, pool facilities (not swimming you fool.) usually home to the younger crowd with less money and brain power than would be hoped of a child.
nothing special, great for a chav wedding party, which they probably do.

13 Feb 2007 11:30

Yates's, Epsom

good for pool in the day and poker on occasion, but must be avoided at night unless you acctually want a fight.
many a burberry clad knuckle scabber in here.
food? not really.
cheap. in every way.

13 Feb 2007 11:27

The Salt House, Epsom

If you like to drink in near total darkness, standing up, surrounded by the extra chromosome having locals, and go home poor, then this is the place for you.

13 Feb 2007 11:25

The Marquis of Granby, Epsom

Great atmosphere, wonderfull selection of the finest ales, few pirates, food fit for the Queen's tennis partners, attractive yet proffessional staff and the most concise pub quiz in the land.
by far the greatest pub within staggering distance of my house.
many out of ten.
