The White Lion, Yateley

This pub has gone under a huge refurblishement inside and out. Looks really nice and decent. 3 Real Ales avaialbe and now they have inculded a Guest ale. London Pride and 6X are their main Ales with a thirs being a Guest. At time of writing this, this was Batemans Victory Ale. A decent pub but its only down fall are the staff - This is because they lack a sense of urgentsey in serving, you will be stood for a while before your served and if their is a queue, rather than in most pubs staff would reconnise who is in order of waiting, the white lion dose not do this and jumps about picking people at random to serve. The staff arent quick at clear tables either.

This is a real shame, if the service of staff improved a great deal then this could be an excallant pub! Everything is in place but the staff!

The Rose and Crown, Sandhurst

This is one of the best pubs around! Popped in here on Bank Hoilday Monday (May 2nd) Just after the Royal Wedding, Their was a beer festival on offer which was a Royal Wedding Themed. 9 Real Ales on the Main Bar then 11 on offer on the Beer Festival Bar. So 20 in total for a decent choice. Royal IPA by Ascot Ales was the beer of the Festival in my mind. Excallant live band on offer. Its hard to find a pub like this anywhere around here. Lined Pint glasses are excallant, these are lined Pint, Half and Third.

Their a Large Beer Garden to be found, Also Tankards, BBQ, Regular Live Bands, Bar Snacks, Car Park and a Great Atmosphere which makes everyone Welcome.

On the bar is Addlestone Cider plus 9 changing ales plus Bottled Youngs Light Ale, Newcastle Brown Ale and Magners.

I shall be returning to this pub as it is excallant, and I will be back for the Beer Festival that is planned for August Bank Hoilday 2011!!!

The Swan, Farnborough

This is a decent and excallant all round pub in Farnborough. 3 real ales avaiable, London Pride and 2 Guest Ales. Large Food Menu. The pub is spilt into two areas, a bar area and restaurtant/food area. The beer garden is very large, smart and modern. The Balconey over looking the farnborough airport, which is one of the best or if not the best view in Farnborough. Their is a car park, can be a bit tight when full! I do recommed a visit here! The Queen, Blackwater

Its re-opned as a pub/thai restautant, doesnt seem to be anyone their! Looks very in need of a refurblishment! and tidy up on the outside, just dosent look advertiseing at all! I think it just needs to be shut for a year, then a decent owner take over and revamp the whole look inside and outside, its just need to be manged and given its definition, so people can tell and know whats its suppose to be. Is its restuatant? Pub? Hotel? is it Open/Closed? is it a bar? what is it? their never a car their, or anyone walking about!

29 Aug 2009 11:00

Que Pasa, Camberley

29 Aug 2009 10:35

Yates's, Camberley

This is the only time i have ever been to a Yates pub, I see them in town centres and walk straight past. After entering with friends for a night out, it was confirmed why to aviod a place like this!
The Reasons are as follows;
No Real Ales
Rough People
Sticky Floor, like they dont want you to leave
Hot and Stuff
Poor Food, procced stuff
High Prices
Rude Staff
Crowded
Long queueing
Lagers only - the massed projuiced ones - fosters carling stella that sort of rubbish
18-21 age group who want to get drunk, they drink 2 pints and one shot and then they are hammered, fighting and swearing.
People who work here and drink look so young that they should be at school, and in the evening should be tucked up in bed by 8.30pm, work experince type

Why do girls of 18 yrs old chavy ones, instist on taking their babys with them into this horrible drive of a pub chain?

The only good thing about yates it that, the chavy lager drinks of 18-21, drink here and not in a smart real ale establishment, where people have respect!

29 Aug 2009 10:34

The Goose, Camberley

The pub is a little rough around the edges, its slipt into three areas, a farely large establishment. three real ales for choice. Pride, IPA and Breakspear, somethimes their is a Guest Ale. Has good deals on food and drinks!

Royal Oak, Yateley

This pub was really good at one piont, after the re-furb about a year or two ago when the preasant landlord took over, things look up, new beers, new menu, decent ideas. but i have to say things have gone down hill! The Beer if on, taste like vinegar, food and service is poor! The Landlord is a very aggressive and rude man indeed! OMG, he needs some help and lessons in politeness and manners, the pub is owned by greene king and with the servce i received, i think will be writing an email to them about his and the staff manner!

The Highwayman, Yateley

The Pub has been sold by Greene King back in February 2009. Over the Summer their has been a huge amounth work been taking place to re-design the pub inside and outside. The has been brought out by a new and exciteing new owners. The plan is to re-open as a new pub, with New Image, Pub, Name, Menu, Drinks Range and Staff.

Its a Free House, offering a range of Real Ales, Fine Wines and a Dinning experince. I have drivien past the pub a number of times and what appears to be or have a large number of work done over the summer. A Brand new Beer Garden in installed, New Planting, and Outdoor Seating Around the Pub, New Pub Signs and a Lick of New Paint around the outside with NEw Windows Extra. This looks pretty good work being carried out and will intreasting to see what the inside looks like when it re-opens and what the range of ales are going to be!

The Dog and Partridge, Yateley

This pub is a truely poor pub! Everything about stands up for what a bad pub is!

Rude Staff
Crap Beer
Swearing Customers
Dirty Toliets
Expenesive
Bog Standered Beers
bad atmosphere
The regulars stare at you when you walk in
No Guest Ale
Unfreindly
A fowl Smell inside
Needs a re-furblishment

The positive comments on here are untrue, they are only written by the landlord

Would never ever pop in here for a poo, would never bring my over half here at all!

Event on yateley green like christmas lights turning on and the morris dancers, these events attract 300/400 people plus, they either go home or go to the pub across the road the white lion!

Do you the landlord have no shame but to bring this pub upto stracth with decent beers a guest ale(s), good food, and some decent customers, you only have regualars the same small bunch that keeps you a float! and you only just keeping going!

Please for the sake of everyone, go nuts re-do the whole pub, lower the price, cut out swearing, make it a great pub that it should be, that it once was a while ago! give it some charcter, the communtiy pub that everone wants to go to!

24 Dec 2007 13:42

The Dog and Partridge, Yateley

I am mixed feeling about his pub, I can understand points of views from the people from below!

The pub is not as good as it used to be. Has had a tidy up with new tables & chairs, new carpet and smells slighty better then before, the smell is better properly cause of the smoking ban! Its not the Full Refurblishment we were promised and all those plans that were shown to customer sounded good but never carried out!

On the Real Ale front the Theakstons Mild is rather cold, Mild is mild in tempeture and by name! The other two Bombardeir & Spitfire are average, sometimes good other times poor!

An average pub which could be better but could be worse!

24 Dec 2007 13:36

The Crown and Cushion, Blackwater
