The Spotted Horse, Putney

Nice pub layout, and the food is quite nice although portions are on the small side, however the atmosphere is ruined by the glowering, moody and aggressive bar manager. Who acts contemptuosly to the general public. Give it a miss if you find somewhere with nicer bar staff nearby (i.e the Jolly Gardeners, Prince of Wales etc)

The Lofty Turtle, East Sheen

If you liked the clientele in the Plough (pre 2008) you'll like it here- although it lacks the olde worldy charm and the passing drinkers that the plough attracted. At first it felt like the Naked turtle was a picket line for the Plough with ex Plough Kronies protesting aginst people attending the Plough once under new ownership.
Always lively on a Friday evening

The Cat's Back, Wandsworth

Great little boozer, does a value lunch menu during the week washed down with a lovely pint of guiness. it may be dark but the comfy sofas and well warn feel imbibe in you a sense that too leave without discussing the merits of the surreal artwork whilst consuming another beer would be a travesty

Marneys Village Inn, Weston Green

Marneys is a great friendly locals Pub, the nearest thing to the plough in Sheen (before the Plough was ruined and turned into a gastropub).

The Plough, East Sheen

This was a lovely pub, tradional, laid back, friendly without pretention. However since it was refurbished 2 years ago, the soul has been stripped not only from the interior but of the pub itself, what was once one of the hidden gems of Richmond borough, has now become another boutique souless pub, over-priced and unspectacular....bvring back the old plough.
all said, it is still pleasant outside on a sunny day (where isn't)
