What a load of rubbish this place really is, they have obviously spent a lot of money on the refurbishment of this place but have not taken into account what sort of pub this is, its not located in the middle of a busy town and i get the impression that they have literally transplanted features of the albany and the farriers in guildford to the middle of hurtmore! The food was rubbish, the staff were most impolite and didnt really know what they were doing and the atmospere seemed no existant. As the previous post said will try again in a few months see if they have improved but at the moment certainly wont be telling friends and family to go there ... another example of things done wrong!

We live literally next door to the pub and it is all boarded up!! As i have said before it was way overpriced with to many staff, not surprised they have gone bankrupt!

Having worked in the public house industry for nearly 20years now i am amazed at how this place stays open and makes a profit, on a weekday evening i must of seen more staff in the place than customers and they didnt exactly know what thay were doing, i would expect the average age of the staff to be no more than 20. Good selection of alcohol but at very expensive prices, i for one am all for spending a little more money for a better quality product but this place takes the biscuit.

I have now been to this pub on three different occasions thinking that maybe i was being a little harsh and i caught the place on a bad day but now i believe that this is a truly rip off place with un friendly staff (unlss your a local) and prices that would match an up market bar in the city... which this is certainly not. The decor of the building is a bit mix and match i wish they would make there mind up if this is to be a modern bar or an old fashioned pub, at the moment it seems as tho they are in limbo.

I think the thing that clintched it for me was when i was talking to the young lad behind the bar and he said he wished he didnt have to work as tha landlord was an arseholse and then asked me if i had a spare cigarette.

As you can probably tell i have not recomended this pub to anyone and would warn others to approach with caution.
