The Victoria, Altrincham

this is now an excellent 'gastro-pub' but still retains a local pub feel. the food is excellent - a varied locally sourced menu. not cheap but worth the money. the atmosphere is friendly and beer - just usually one or two ales - well kept.

The Old Harkers Arms, Chester

nice airy atmosphere, excellent choice of ales, food good but a little pricey. good service. all in all highly recommended
