The South Devon Inn, Dawlish

Got some funny stares from the locals when me and my girlfriend visited
this pub.
I thought it had a fairly good atmoshere and felt quite homely inside
The beer was ok as well I would visit again and give this place 7/10

Teignmouth Inn, Dawlish

Feels a little bit like an irish bar. A smallish place but always a good
atmosphere.
Not far from the railway station and bus stops.

7/10

Bullers Arms, Brixham

A decent sized pub in a good location beer was good and the price acceptable.
The bar is rather interesting as it actually resembles the hull of a boat.

The Thatch, Croyde

A decent pub but can get very busy and difficult to find a table.
When i was in there last it was ridiculously hot with the fire on and packed
even though it was november i'd give it 7/10

Market House Inn, Dartmouth

A bit of a boozer kind of pub but none the worse for it.
We found the place ok it a town which is really made for the wealthy.
Good location too. 8/10

The Grove, Exmouth

The pub and it's location are fantastic with a decent sized beer garedn to boot.
But the rather expensive pint of fosters i had was revolting so for that reason alone i can only give this place 5/10

Monks Retreat Inn, Broadhempston

A great pub in a remote village location.

Me and my girlfriend walked found this place by accident on a walk in the area. The exmoor ale i had was fantastic and the pub itself has a cosy feel
to it, would visit again for sure.

Panniers, Barnstaple

Awful simply awful place.

Horrible layout with no decent seats, very busy (even for a spoons)

The other newer spoons in town is far better.

The Three Horseshoes, Burton Bradstock

A decent place to go.
We sat in the garden which was lovely and the ale and lager we had were
very nice indeed.

The Cherub Inn, Dartmouth

A real cosy feel to this pub. The sort of pub i would like to be in with the rain lashing against the windows.
It is however very small we visited on a saturday lucnchtime in October and only just got a seat. There is a restuarant upstairs which the sign said you could go in though.
Food did look like rather mean portions for the prices.

Would visit again if in the area

The Seven Stars, Kingsbridge

A good pub in a reasonable location.
In my opinion the beer garden is the best thing about this pub as the interior is all a bit modern for me.
Drinks were ok as well.

Ship Inn, Lyme Regis

Me and my girlfriend quite liked this place which we stumbled upon after a walk around Lyme Regis.
A great traditional boozer one of the better pubs in lyme.
My pint of thatchers gold was fantastic.

I would give it 9/10

The Pilot Boat Inn, Lyme Regis

Not a good place to go if you are on a pub crawl in Lyme.
It's mainly a foody kind of place and a bit of a rip off too.
I did'nt go alot on the interior as well.

4/10

The Rock Point Inn, Lyme Regis

We really like this pub. It is just about handy for everything. Great location nice beer terrace with great views.
I agree that the interior is pretty awful but the drinks were cheaper than
many other of the pubs in lyme.

The Cobb Arms, Lyme Regis

I was a little disappointed with this pub.

It is in a great location so it is rather touristy and there was not much in the way of outside seating.

I did'nt take to the interior or the layout inside.

Very expensive for drinks but then again this is Lyme.

Would give it 5/10

The Creeks End Inn, Kingsbridge

An excellent pub in a convienient location.
Not as expensive as i thought it would be and a great selection of beers.

I'D GIVE IT 10 OUT OF 10!

The Ship, Paignton

A large pub in a somewhat unusual location.
Still what a fantastic place!

Reasonable prices for drinks, the pint of bulmers over ice i had was out of this world. Did'nt eat but the food looked excellent value for money.
A large beer garden with loads of benches and plenty of variety of seats inside would give this place 10 out of 10.

The George, West Bay

This pub is a dump.

Full of drunk gobby idiots and rip off prices for beer.

Will not be going back.

25 Jul 2010 19:09

Spyway Inn, Bridport

Popped in with my girlfriend whilst on a walk.
.
Lovely beer garden and excellent friendly service.

Did'nt eat but the food looked good.

22 Jul 2010 21:32

The Feathers, Budleigh Salterton

A decent sizeable pub with something for everyone.
A little expensive but this is east Devon. Filled half an hour whilst waiting for our bus.

The Railway Inn, Dawlish

Nothing special, ok for a quick pint, good value fosters at 2.50 a pint

The Yew Tree Inn, Peterstow

Walked to this pub from ross on wye in the snow whilst me and my girlfriend were on a long weekend in ross.
Landlord was great really friendly and beer was good a well priced too.
Would go back for sure this is a proper pub.

Lamb Inn, Silverton

Went to to this pub yesterday and was very impressed.
It must be increasingly hard to run a pub these days whili keeping costs down, but this pub seems to have got the balance just right.
The real ales were well kept behind the bar and as was the larger reasonably priced.
The ploughmans lunch i had was huge and delicious and again a good price. I would visit again for sure.
