Coopers, Edinburgh

Now called The Beer House.
More glasses and plates on the tables than behind the bar. Beer (Speckled Hen) passable but overpriced. Some other real ales available.Staff harassed by the louts 3 deep at the bar shouting their orders.

The Malt and Hops, Leith

Just about the best real ale pub in Leith. Friendly with a good beer selection. Its a traditional pub in the trendy shore area of Leith well worth seeking out.

Crystal Palace, Glasgow

I've been working in Glasgow this week and have had breakfast and dinner in here every day.
Friendly staff, good beer and nice breakfasts.

The Narrow Boat, Skipton

Excellent pub with a good choice of real ales. Down a quiet cobbled street in the centre of Skipton. The people were very friendly and it was a good atmosphere.

The Blind Busker, Hove

Please note the name of the pub has now changed to The Blind Roland.

The Kings Head, Kettlewell

It is very sad that some people are bitter and twisted.
The person masquarading under the names familytraveller and scottishlassie has a vendetta against the landlady and is out to ruin the business of an extemely good pub.
Of course everyone is entitled to write either a positive or negative review based on their experience, but when every negative review has been written by ONE PERSON with a grudge using multiple ids, then that person comes under the term OBNOXIOUS TWISTED SADDO who will end up as an old loser that nobody likes.

So take my earlier advice GET A LIFE before its too late.

By the way FANTASTIC PUB were trying to organise a coach trip to Kettlewell and this place is a must visit.

The Kings Head, Kettlewell

It is obvious to anyone with a brain that the last two reviews were written by the same person.
But after hearing about the landladys skirt I think I'll definately call here again. I'll probably bring several friends and book in for a week.
Nice to hear dogs are not allowed on the funiture.
Last time I was here I had a very good pint of Taylors landlord and the meals were very nice.

I wonder if the spiteful reviews written about this pub are anything to do with the glowing reviews about another pub in the village.
A message to scottishlassie, familytraveller and any other names you would like to dream up.
Get a life.

The Tuckers Grave Inn, Faulkland

Nice pint of Butcombe and the scrumpys good too.
Apparently the wurzels favourite pub.
Well worth an 8.

The Three Judges, Partick Cross

Fantastic pub, good atmosphere great beer. I always come here when Im in partick. Great characters. Last time I was in, some unsavoury character tried to sell me a tv he was carrying.

The Lade Inn, Kilmahog

Great pub has its own beers waylade, ladeback and ladeout. Didnt like the waylade but the other two were good. Had dinner here it was very busy then listened to a folk singer in the other room.

The Miles Thompson, Kendal

Was in Kendal on business. Called in here for lunch. Pleasant enough place. Good selection of beers. Will call again if in the area. The car park has quite a few potholes.

The Guy Fawkes Hotel, York

Great pub. Six real ales mainly from yorkshire breweys. I tried a pint of fernandos which was prefect. My wife had a half of becks, she said it was better than cobra. Very relaxed atmosphere, mainly real ale drinkers. There was a group of loud students harping on about studenty things in their loud "This is the first pub Ive ever been in" manner. Talking about mars bars and golf balls and falling off the seats. But all this added to the ambience of the place.
We sat at a window and watched York Minister.

The Babbity Bowster, Glasgow

Had a choice of 2 real ales. Meals were good and reasonable. Scottish - French menu.
One of the few pubs in glasgow to have a beer garden.
Overall pretty good.

The Brodick Bar, Brodick

Paid 8.65 for a pint of deuchars and a glass of wine.
Smart pub but not atmosphere. Concentrates mainly on food in the downstairs bar which is overpriced.

The Ormidale Hotel, Brodick

Had a great time in this pub. The food was great the beer very good, the barmaid cheeky. Altogether a very good atmosphere. The best pub in brodick by far.

The Black Bull Inn, Rothesay

This pub is in the good beer guide but the beer is not spectacular. Just your average boozer with a gang of old lads betting on the nags in the public bar.

The Russian Tavern (Port Royal Hotel), Port Bannatyne

The beer is excellent, served straight from barrels on the bar. The food is very good but also very expensive costing 24 for goulash and up to 11 for a starter. The host is a very sociable fellow.
