Saltgrass, Sunderland

Not a bad pub.

WELL out of the way though.....

The Walkabout, Durham

What a dive.
Full of students, who haven't learned the concept of waiting their turn at the bar as they are the future etc etc.
Overpriced. As someone else said, if this is a genuine aussie pub, i'll give the place a miss... I never like Neighbours anyway..

The Jolly Anglers, Wood Green

A nice little "traditional" pub, tucked away.

The Duke of Hamilton, Hampstead

Been there once.
I found the bar staff charming and friendly, and the surroundings comforable.

Yes, i'd go again...

The Oast House, London Bridge Station

Small. Pokey. Smokey. Unkempt.

BUT I LOVE IT!!! It has an atmosphere all of its own..

Wetherspoons, Victoria Station

The balcony is great to watch people rushing for trains and watching life go by in general...
This pub is a must for avid people watchers and letchers!!

Goose, Wood Green

Its certainly lost its appeal (to me anyway) since it became the Goose and Granite.. Had far more character when it was the Nags Head..
Never mind, not a bad palce to watch life go by...

The Duke of York, Kings Cross station

Too many ignorant people trying to neck that last pint, literally SECONDS, before their train pulls out.

Take my advice, the Euston Flyer (albeit a bit further) is a far better place for that last pint before the train (and before you get robbed blind for a 440ml can of Stella in the buffet car of the 1900 GNER express.......)

The Nelson, Wood Green

Not as good as it used to be...

Molly's Bar, New Southgate

Good pub, good crack.

The King William IV, Hampstead

Looks very inviting...
Went in on a freezing cold night for a beer. Nice and welcoming, friendly staff.
Then I realized it was a gay pub....
I enjoyed my pint and left.
Recommended. If you like that sort of thing.

The Claddagh Ring, Hendon

Half decent pub.
Gets busy with wannabee coppers from the nearby police traning school.

27 Dec 2005 20:37

The Catcher in the Rye, Finchley

Pleasant pub. Good meeting place....

27 Dec 2005 20:35

Flares, Sunderland

Different........
Worth a visit, if only to find out for yourself!

The Chandos, Trafalgar Square

Found this one completely by mistake.. Popped in for a quick pint, and ended up spend a good few hours in there.
Bar staff brilliant, atmosphere brilliant. A spot on pub...

The Worlds End, Camden

Quality!
Very deceptive. A bit like a tardis...
Very relaxed atmosphere, good staff....
Top marks!

27 Dec 2005 19:56

Lennons, Bishop Auckland

Gets packed at weekends.
A bit pricey (either that or i'm getting old!)...

Nice atmosphere!!

27 Dec 2005 19:21

The Moorcock Inn, Peterlee

A "proper" pub.....

Friendly staff, good beer.....

27 Dec 2005 19:17

The Bell, Horden

Quiet during the week, and on a Saturday.
Decent disco on a Friday and Sunday.
Good service.

27 Dec 2005 19:16

Five Quarter, Peterlee

Gets very busy on a Friday, Saturday and Sunday night.
Can be a bit entertaining on account of some of the local clientelle.
It certainly isn't the best Wetherspoons pub i've visited; The tables are often poorly cleaned and the service on the lower level of reasonable; However, a good pint, and reasonably priced.
Personal opinion? 5/10......
