De Havilland Arms, Elvetham Heath

Your average Hall & Woodhouse pub/restaurant with decent food and a decent pint. Garden is dog-friendly. Worth a visit.

The Foresters, Church Crookham

More-or-less my local (it's a lovely walk through woods to get there if you don't fancy driving). Decent selection of ales, and well-presented (if slightly pricey) food. Dog friendly, with nice garden which is busy in good weather. Can't say I've ever been insulted by the staff!

The Castle, Old Isleworth

Under new management - new landlord's given the place a bit of a spring clean.

The Duke of York, Hanwell

New owners, who've paid a lot of money to refurb the place. The legendary awful toilets now a lot better, and the pub's looking good throughout.

Same "lively" locals, and a decent pint.

The Old Devil, Knowl Hill

Now re-opened as a "gastro pub". Very tasteful redecoration, still serve a decent pint.

The Boot, Weymouth

Easily the best pub in Weymouth. No further comment required.

The Rodwell, Weymouth

Great little pub - grotty on the outside, but the locals make for a good atmosphere. Paul is right - the whole pub is a hole in the space/time continuum - it last saw a lick of paint about 30 years ago.

The Old Castle Hotel, Weymouth

Note truckerphil's review is incorrect. This pub (my local) is well and truly open and under new management. Nice out-of-the-way pub offering food, garden and accomodation. Just minutes away from Castle Cove beach, popular with the amateur sailing crowd.

The Blue Anchor, Hammersmith

Good riverside pub. Food a bit pricy, but huge portions, decent selection of beers.
