Ellie, sadly past away on the 15th February 2005. Ian has taken over the tennacy, and has worked really hard to develop something a bit different from the rest of the public Houses in Dorking. Bless you Ellie, Hollie, Max & I miss you. Hope you liked the funeral, I tried really hard to give you a send off you would have been proud off. xx

Nearly Forgot, The Star is probably the cheapest watering hole in Dorking, now serving Old Speckled Hen 5.2% and a remarkable �2:50 a pint, also Greene King IPA at �2:20. Bacardi Breezers at a special �2:00 a bottle, while stocks last!

Addie has returned to Preston. Ellie and Ian are manning the pumps. Open Mike Night Now every Thursday, the Ambience has changed significantly, Nice place for a quiet drink.

The bar is being tidied up, Stiil the only place to be during a Dorking FC home game. No real ale unfortunately, but the Guiness is good! AFC Wimbledon ladies play their home games at Meadowbank. Come on you Chicks!

Nearly Forgot, Tonight for one night only, come and witness the FA Cup first round proper Football match between Dorking FC and Plymouth Argyle. 2nd June 2003, prelim Interviews 8:30pm Kick-off 9:00pm.

The old House has replaced the bar Billiards with Table Football. Regular tournaments to be arranged for Monday Beerinthteevenings.

Over the last few weeks this pub is starting to under go a transformation. The toilets are clean, the brass sparkles and the food is resonably priced and very edible. As a youngs pub, the real ale is probably the best in toen.
