THis is without a shadow thee- worst Wetherspoon I have ever visited. It is a sh1t hole.
Lights to toilets were out and it is frequented by the worst of the area. lifeless souless and pure awful. Mr martin should visit and experience and Thursday evening in this hole

This is a fabulous pub - new landlord is always working like mad, speaks to everyone - should slow down... but the quizzes are great and the ales are top notch. Food was A1 and deserves the GOOD BEER GUIDE reccomendation and it's cask marque award - keep this up - to all I say come here - it's changed a lot.

It's a shame these people who post negative comments don't open their eyes - the staff are always asking for ID and the pub has more charachter than the sad offerings surrounding it - open your eyes and get rid of your perception of Wetherspoon pubs in some areas - this one is a local - a pub where the staff and managers talk to us it's also a pub in the town you can enter as you can see into it unlike the notably 'empty' nearby offerings - great choice of beers (proper beer!) a decent curry and steak - If I think somewhere is rubbish i say so BUT NOT THIS JDW PUB -

Fantastic pub - great service and staff and management get involved with customers - nice mornings and evenings spent at this Wetherspoon pub - keep it up
