Another great pub in this area, with great real ale and decent food, and i very much enjoy their policy on children.
But staff and regulars are probably some of the most unwelcoming around

The Hare and Hounds, St Albans
One of the better pubs in the saphra area, good selection of all drinks and food is best in the area.
Much improved over past few years, although recently it has become somewhat disorganised, and i would sugest their cellar may be a little cold for real ale, but staff are always freindly and helpful.

Have to agree about the thirtysomethings. Ever since they started showing football I always seem to be surrounded by unsavoury characters who are no longer welcome at the other football pub down the road!

My favourite pub in this area, beautiful garden, good beer, good food, good night out!
