Apparently the facade will remain but the rest will be knocked down and rebuilt, starting over Xmas. But at least it seems it will reopen as a pub (as well as lots of flats).

What a shame! The cheerful and helpful Antipodean bar staff have been replaced and Steve the SA manager has gone too, replaced by Melvin - maybe Melvin and his staff will learn to smile?
They dont seem to do food in the bar anymore (no menus either in the bar or outside the restaurant) and the new wine list is v. confusing, luckily they still do Doom Bar. Perhaps come the sping the new management can make something of the garden which has so much potential ...
Inventive have taken over the pubs run by Massive (gone into receivership??) but on this 'new look' I'm not impressed. Perhaps I'll have to change my 'local' of 5 years to the Tide End or Adelaide.
