The Torphichen Arms, Mid Calder
Getting worse. Big sign outside saying "Good food - 7 days a week".Went in last week with the family. Asked for a menu ..... "sorry we don't do food" !!!
No decent beer either so will NOT be back.

One of the best oubs in the area. Always a great selection of beer and regular beer festivals. Good food makes it popular with locals so book early if you want to eat here.

Good old fashioned pub with great choice of beers. Real character.

Used to be a good pub but last twice in there most of the beers were not available.

The Black Bull Inn, Mid Calder
Good pub. Deuchars IPA, Caledonian 80 /- and Courage Directors. Food is variable. Staff and service generally very good.

Good choice of beers. Always Deuchars IPA and Caledonian 80 plus a couple of guest beers (Usually from Cairngorm brewery). First class food. Open fire. A great place to be.

The Black Bull Inn, Mid Calder
Just gets better. As well as the usual they now have two guest beers which cahenge monthly.
If you want to eat here on a week-end then phone ahead and reserve a table.
